JayLCiazz is a Dutch artist who is currently working on his acoustic album "Intimate Confessions". You'll find the demo's on this website.
After 5 years of finding out which route would fit him best musically...currently acoustic is what appeals to him the most. JayLCiazz's warm voice will grab you or not. And when it does grab you.. you want to hear more....
JayLCiazz was born in 1973 and starts his early puberty in the Era of Pop. Which means Wham, Madonna, Prince, Simple Minds, U2. It was 83 till 88 those bands were mainly on the radio and the ones he bought on casette and/or LP. Luckily his parents played older music too. Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan. His stepfather played piano and was a classical trained singer. Due to that he heard a lot of Schubert, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Liszt and Strauss. In the midst of his puberty it was time for New Wave, Punk, Experimental and then Metal. The Cure, Joy Divisions, Kraftwerk, Einsturzende Neubauten, David Bowie, Nina Hagen, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Scorpions, Van Halen, Metallica. In his late puberty he discoverd a variety of bands in many genres..to name a few... Pink Floyd, Frederick Chopin, Dead Can Dance, Guiseppe Verdi, Beck, PJ Harvey, Aphex Twin, Bjork, Deus, Eels, Jeff Buckley and the list goes on and on....JayLCiazz has been influenced by all these artists and more... You can imagine that throughout the years the list of names became larger and larger..
5 years ago JayLCiazz started out under the name iam0pen. He started out with experimental music. Some with vocal some without....not soon after that he start singing on instrumental songs from others...with their permissions of course. And this turned out to be a great school. He studied structure in songs, trained his voice, improved his songwriting. Together with Justbase he created the album "Who Owns The Love". An exiting album full of eclectic, experimental songs with personal lyrics and break and beats. After two years he renamed himself and became o0o. Under this name he released nine albums. "The White Collection". Nine albums that contain all his songs from 2005 untill 2008. "Buried Alive" and "Apple of Eve" are the best in this collection followed by "XuiliiuX" which is an instrumental album. He also released, in collaboration with Ziur (André Ruiz) "Black Promises - The Demo's". This album has become the base for our upcoming stuff (see next paragraph).
Around 300 songs are outthere and half of those are in collaboration with others.. many others. And the other half is done by JayLCiazz. Yet he is closing down on collabs. There are some projects he still likes to work on and one of them is OZIUR a two man band in which he is the lead singer and songwriter and André Ruiz is responsible for the fantastic music and production.
With more faith in his vocals, lyrics and presentation and less insecurity and being influenced by so many people and music styles he know feels he has to take the route of acoustic. Back to basic. Two instruments only of which one of course will be his voice.
Thus now JayLCiazz presents "Intimate Confessions - The Demo's". Acoustic songs straight from the heart about issues that are very personal. The instrumental part are only loops. JayLCiazz is looking for a guitarist (he/she) that is able to replace the loops and wants to work together on better versions of each song.
