Music Background Listened to music for as long as I can remember. Was turned on to Hendrix and suddenly a whole new world exploded into being. Started as a bass player because I knew all these cool guitarists in high school and my guitar (and playing) sucked. Playing bass with a fuzz and wah pedal was really fun, though. Then I bought a synthesizer and it was like eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Started crashing parties where I knew everyone was fully tuned to a different frequency and would add ambiance to the room with it. Later played in a few bands as a synthesist. Went to college at an advanced age and learned that studying music can have a detrimental effect on your personality. Played in an experimental noise/noise/garage unit called Chock Fullo Beak while in the throes of grad school. Now, in an effort to perform One Significant Act before passing into the realm of shades, I have teamed up with others in an effort to shake the pillars of heaven yet once more as The Doctor Pangloss Musical Preservation Society and Medicine Show, or Doctor Pangloss, for short.
Music Skills Define "skills". In the broadest sense, I play electronic keyboard, guitar, sing, and can usually make noise (in the truest sense) with anything I get my hands on.
Music Hardware Mostly old stuff that no one else cares about anymore. It's kinda fun to buy something that once cost $4000 for about $150 on eBay and realize that it is every bit as good as it was when it came out, only ten years older.
Music Software Nothing that I use live, but I am a BIG and long-time fan of Power Tracks Pro (me love PTP longtime), made by the same people who do Band-in-a-Box.
