Bio:
Hello guys and gals.
Some of you already know this from reading the description on my last tune. I'm taking a little break from writing "blues" tunes for a while. I kinda "hit a wall" so to say, and I feel that my blues songs (and guitar playing) are starting to sound a little bit repetitious. I want to expand my technique and style quite a bit before I return to writing a new tune in that genre. In hindsight, I'll be woodshedding "the blues" and sucking up as many lessons as I can to help expand my trick bag before I compose any new blues material.
In the mean time, I'll be going back to my "metal" roots and starting from the bottom up on my composition, creativity, performance and production values in hoping to achieve a more refined, professional sounding song. I believe that a good metal song, or ANY song for that matter starts with a solid drum foundation, and in reviewing my last songs in that genre, that department could use some improvement. So.. I purchased some "metal" drum loops in anticipation of starting this endeavor the "right way" and giving my new songs a heavier, more defined drum sound and production value than my previous ones.
With my work season now over, I will be able to give my music and guitar my full attention to reach this goal. Hopefully it won't be too long until I have something new to upload.
In the mean time, be well MJ'ers, and I'll see ya around the site.
