Composer, mostly contemporary classical music for orchestral and chamber ensembles.
Delving into cinematic works blending orchestra with pop and ethnic percussion.

I live in a rural town on the edge of the Redwood forest in Northern California.

Music Background Studied music and other (science) things at UCSB and at SBCC. Theory, history and composition, plus many hours in the electronic music recording studio in department's basement with tape decks and Moog synthesizers, bag-lunch Wednesday concerts in the Music Quad.
Music Skills Composer. Extensive analog and computer skills related to music synthesis, recording and production. Play piano, compose direct to score mostly, some improv. Use Logic Pro and Notion. Familiar with Sibelius and Finale. Experienced designer of hi-end audio equipment
Music Hardware iMac 24" and 2nd monitor, LINK.firewire 4x6 audio interface, a vintage Sherwood amp and and Pioneer HPM100 speakers and Yamaha monitor speakers. A couple of fine mics. This has replaced all other gear.
Music Software Logic Pro, Notion, other notation software, Apple Orchestral Jam Pack, GPO and other instrument and percussion libraries
