Bio:
I became interested in fingerstyle guitar back in the early 1970's. A friend introduced me to the music of Leo Kottke, Andres Segovia, Leon Redbone, Roy Bookbinder, and John Fahey. I had been watching other guys such as Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Roy Clark, Merl Travis on the TV for years as well. Always amazed watching the things they did playing the guitar. It wasn't until the mid 1980's when I first saw Michael Hedges on a PBS show that I really became enthralled with the fingerstyle guitar genre.
Three years ago I was given the opportunity to host a two hour fingerstyle guitar program every other wednesday night from 7 to 9 o'clock Eastern Time on a new listener supported community radio station in Sarasota, Florida, called WSLR 96.5 LPFM ( www.wslr.org ) I call the program, "aerial boundaries", the name of a song by the late great guitarist Michael Hedges and is used as a tribute. In the past three years of hosting the show, I've learned that Michael had inspired thousands of guitarist worldwide to play the guitar before his untimely death. These days his music still continues to inspire..
If you like fingerstyle guitar music, you can check out the show anywhere on the planet. to listen copy and paste the http that follows in your browser..... http://s4.viastreaming.net:7770/listen.pls
