Ah what is the truth? Google will be glad to rank it for you...
Here's two versions of the truth. Have fun. Happy Thanksgiving holiday! Remember to take your high blood pressure medication, extra gravy too...

a general comment. not directly at you Daug, K?

Liars lie. it all falls out from there.

Stupid is stupid. it also falls out from that as well.

Believe what you want. You have the right to be wrong, and you might well pay the price for that...

...Or get educated. at least as best you can. don't be a liar. don't be stupid. be

Some truth is an inside job. Take St. Augustine, for example. Have a happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy the holiday weekend!

Actually, I find it extremely informative to compare these two stories, particularly the second one, as a textbook example of crowd-psychology manipulation by the media ... a skill at which they are quite adept.

“Charles Manson,” as the present generation may or may not know, “was a psychopath.”   However, he was also a psychopath who knew how to market himself ... or, much more likely, he simply was a psychopath who “was marketed.”

Fast-forward many decades, and what do we now see?   Why, this same psychopath is being marketed once again!   This time, he is being materially equivalenced with the “booger-man catch-phrase” of the present day:   the so-called “Far-Right Group.™”

“You get the idea.™”   (Or at least, by now you should ...)

Also, quite frankly, consider this:   “Why did the New York Times, of all things, suddenly decide now to bring-up Charles Manson, of all the many people who are still rotting-away in prison?”   Could it simply be that they needed a convenient metaphor?   Could it even be that they intended(!) to be the yin against which some other media-channel could launch a yang, and “let the Chinese tennis-game begin, good for a half-dozen or so headlines?”

Just sayin’ ... but ... “otherwise, of what possible present-day interest is this 1960’s murderer, except that he isn’t dead yet?”   Why(!) bring him up, and, why now?

Think about it.   The media is a master of propaganda crowd-psychology manipulation.   This sort of thing i-s their business.

Hah! Occam's razor in action.

I think we can reverse a well-known saying: "liberal biases are usually reality".
