Left channel louder?
Thursday, December 04 2008 @ 04:32 AM CST

I've noticed when I'm recording using my Midi keyboard the left channel is always louder than the right. I usually have to pan the track around 30+ to the right just to get the channels even. What am I doing wrong?

I think the left channel is louder when playing with both hands on a keyboard because bass/low notes are louder , also because the left hand might play too heavy compared to the right hand .

You can try to record twice with differents left and right connexions or copy a track and change the panning and get a more equilibrated sound in the end .
