Description
Another loopy song.

Skeleton Waltz actually started out as a upbeat song but the more I mixed the sounds together, the more sinister the music became. I, of course, changed the voices and did a lot of tweaking behind the scenes.

Enjoy.

Loops used:

Mystic G Orchestra Kit
Mystic A Violas
Classical Waltz Piano 19
Classical Waltz Piano 21
Classical Waltz Piano 22
Classical Waltz Piano 23
Classical Waltz Piano 25

like a dark version
of that Disney cartoon! :D Love the panning and reverb... and the bells.
Love bells.

(Hey... I thought I was the only one to dance like that...)

like a dark version
Thank you for the comments. The bells are actually "Mystic G Orchestral Hit" set
to Orchestra Tubular Bells voice. I like how they came out, too.

Nightmare Before Doofmas
This is a great tune and could certainly be in a Tim Burton film. Nicely done.

cool stuff
Thank you for the nice comment. The plucking was done using Jam Pack 4
(Orchestra) and changing the voice of the pianos to Violins 1 Pizzicato and
Violins 2 Pizzicato.

I just love the power that GB gives in manipulating the sounds.

A wonderful piece. You managed to evoke a lovely mood and lots of
feeling from using loops. As always, a good job. Nice and uplifting.
Really enjoyed this.

Very nice
That is a nice little piece. Could have used some dynamics, though.
Playing with volume and whatnot can add that little extra bit of life to
computer music. Still, a nice little piece.

Thank you for your comments.

That's a good idea about the volume. I'll play around with it and see what I come
up with.

DisBurton
Yeah, I agree with the Disney/Tim Burton references. This piece definitely
has that feel.

It would be interesting to hear how it would sound with a click-clacking
off-beat percussion track to simulate the movement of skeletons dancing
to the tune.

DisBurton
Great idea. I'll play around with it and try to find "skeleton" drum loops.

Cold cool
very wintery mix sound. Love the dancing skeleton. I am going down the
list of your songs and you have a new fan. You are very creative with the
loops and that is something that I apreciate.

Very interesting piece here Dana
Love the way you make it sound like the bones are banging together as they dance. But beyond that there's some excellent arranging and orchestration going on behind the scenes as well.

Musically, a very nice piece that I think you should expand upon. Take it to the next level as it were.

Great bit of work my friend, thanks for posting it and for starting the Personal Best forum. A great idea that I'm taking advantage of.
