Lyrics
lift the veil, time is scenery
same and changing your core is pure
the energy winds in and through all things
faithful astronomer says believe
as he watches God at work

angels in the road
hair sugared in snow
ice falls from their wings
unseen living things

the grey above reflects the soul to see
deep into the frozen earth
where the harvest was becomes our skating rink
we've planted sanctuary here
for anyone who dares come near

angels in the road
hair sugared in snow
ice falls from their wings
unseen living things

Big and delicate!
Have you ever heard of Prefab Sprout? You've got a similar melodic feel to
some of their earlier stuff. There's some very, very nice things going on
here although in some places it might have been good to have a bit more
'space' in the production (but that's probably just a matter of taste).
Lovely delicate tune and singing - well done all.

Impressionistic frosty delights
Really nice impressionistic lyrics, interesting bends on the guitar, a series
of nice transitional sounds that paint an icy moving picture, and very
good percussion. Especially good in headphones. The very concept of
"angels in the road" is a cool collection of images: I think of natural angels
formed by snowplows and tire tracks; or, on a pristine road before any
tracks have been made, angels of frost and tricks of light; or, snow angels
done by an exuberant person risking life and limb to run out and imprint
them between cars, especially on a snow day when there is little traffic;
or, angels like pillars of breath floating above heads. Such a nice track.
Ethereal, nearly psychedelic, floating and ambitious. Well done.

Angels are my weakness
Since I have my own....

Beautifully written lyrics and wonderfully played and sung. I like the level
the vocals are at.... you know they are there, yet just out of reach.

Very nice
Spring this is very nice. I like your voice and the phasing of the whole
song. Nice flow throughout with a very nice dymamic. I have actually
spent time on the frozen tundra in Lapland. Your mix is done well and
very easy on the ears.-JAC

Gotta say, I love those lyrics and your pure voice. Very comforting and
evocative. Splendid textures and spatialization.

A bit restrained
I like where the song is going and the ambient sound but the second chorus seems to want to be unleashed somehow. Maybe playing around with the melody a bit there and hitting the vocals and guitar harder.

great
Very unique feel here. From the that great chord progression that Einarus
mentioned, to the great ride work. Then the instrumental excursion...real
classy, well-thought out shit. Good on ya.

Smooth work
this tune - it's got that mid-80's atmosphere rock feel to it, the bass groove is very solid, round and melodic - great vocals, light and airy, appropriate for the lyrics, which are dreamy and evocative. Love the wide open bridge, lots of great textures in there. I really enjoyed this fully - nice arrangement all around. Seems like the levels could come way up with some attention put to the mids and low EQs. Also, at the beginning of the verse, there's that sweet minor chord that comes in - it could use more support instrumentally so that when you hit the vocal note, it doesn't come off too dissonant. It's a rather cool surprise, that minor in there. Great drum work - solid and sure, the Ringo tom rolls at the end are especially tasty. Great work!

Fresh and interesting sound
Love the dreamy, thick, rich soundscape. Some interesting progressions.
Very good flow. Gives it a dream wash of sound. Interesting lyrics. Sounds
like some of the stuff I used to listen to in the late 80s, early 90s, kind of
ambient and ethereal with just a dash of gothic mixed in - The Bolshoi,
Slowdive - good stuf. It's definitely coming home with me to live in my
iTunes.

Another one I can't get out of my head.
Love the tune. That reoccuring rif is adictive. It wouldn't be the same without the pitch shifting. I could hear that in a movie where a couple is communicating their unrequited love to one another on a warm summer evening near the ocean.
