I especially like the leslie amp sounding rhythm guitar in there %u2013 had to listen twice. How'd you do dat? Nice strong and steady bass line.

Style kind of reminds me of Texas born, Cornell Dupree, too.

Good stuff, strat-man.

Scorp:)

P.S. Have you checked out http://www.austinriffs.com/
It's all about Austin blues, funk and soul music. Podcasts ready for download.

Thanks Scorp The leslie effect was done with a line 6 Pod set to a rotating
speaker setting. Cornell Dupree wow I've never counted him as an influence but
he's a teriffic guitarist very inovative rhythm player. I like guys like Ronnie Earl
and Jimmy Vaughan and Duke Robilliard. I've listened to some of your stuff
Scorp you have great musical instincts and tremendus chops. Your playing
reminds me of a guy I used to taike lessons from over 25 years ago named
Robert LaCroix. Like you he could play Blues, Jazz, Funk and and was in a few
country bands while he lived here. He lives in the Dallas area now and is an
active player there. I thin I have listened to the Podcast austin riffs a time or
two. It's a good podcast. My wifes from Austin and we try and make it down
there at least once a year to check out 6th street and Antonne's.

Hmmm. Robert LaCroix. I'll google his name and see what I come up with. I'm always looking for new players their music.

Yeah man, Ronnie Earle, Jimmie Vaughn and 'The Duke'. All great players.

Also, check out THE ROADHOUSE podcast. Free subscriptions through iTunes. I think you'll really like this one....

...My latest RH podcast is auto downloading (along with Virtual Garage podcast) as I'm typing this.

Roadhouse podcasts have been the perfect thing at barbeques, picnics and parties. My friends think I have this large blues collection or want to know the radio station I have on. lol!

Like the RH host says, Some of The Best Blues You Never Heard.

I don't think you will find anything on him in Google. You will find a lot of Robert LaCroix though lol. He has a few cds out that he produced and put out by himself. I think he plays around with a funk band and has a jazz gig in the North Dallas area. I don't know the names. I'll have to ask his brother. When he lived here he was the big local talent. He moved to Dallas about five years ago. His brother told me it took awhile for him to start getting gigs in DFW because the local talent pool there is much larger and theres plenty of real talented musicians.
