Wow This just blew me away after hearing my version for weeks. The strings and organ and other additions really enhance the song in such a different way from the craziness I added. Beautiful I just love this piece, Bill. I think it is some of your best i have heard. For some reason... ...this is a tune where I really hear a number of your technical strengths. You've got great time, without being stiff or mechanical. And the slide lines really keep the synth/string bits lively; you have really good time AND intonation as a slide player. Listening in the very early morning hours over headphones while the rest of the house sleeps, I'm also struck by how nice an "ear candy" mix this is.
