Lyrics
Summers gone and Winters here again, I can hardly sleep.
My teas on the table, I cant sleep, all I think of is you.

You can kiss my arse tonight,Lassie.
You can roll me over,You can lay me down, and do it again.

The street lights look so pretty now, that you have gone.
Tho ive been told, that you cant hold, whats not in your hand.

You can kiss my arse tonight, Lassie.
You can roll me over,You can lay me down, and do it again, and again, and again, and again.

You can kiss my arse tonight Lassie.
You can kiss mysoft pink touche tonight.
The worlds a great big sherbert dip, take your liquourice stick and begin, theres nothing her for you to fear, theres nothing here except my,

Repeat You can etc.

Make sure my teas on the table tonight,
Make sure my shoes are ironed right.
Make sure your wearing make up, in the morning.
And honey even if im snoring, everything is alright.

repeat first two verses

Good
I like it. It's catchy but humble. It's kind a grower, I think.
Vocals and lyric style remind me a band called The National.

Here's a link to one of their songs from their web site: http://

Maybe increase the volume of the singing..
The chord progression the drums = great sound.

I couldn't hear the singing as well as I'd like though. Assuming it's you
singing lead, you sort of sound like a young Bob Dylan...and that's always
good for a few extra points in my book. The bass player in your picture
also looks like Charlie Sheen.

Alright, enough celebrity comparisons. Your lyrics were nice. I enjoyed.
Just wished they were louder.

Maybe increase the volume of the singing..
Thanks for the comments. cant wait to use the Charlie sheen line on bass player. The bass player is the singer and I agree vocals could be louder and better but it was done quickly on a tascam watching time as usual. Thanks for the time to make comment, cheery

You got something here
Pretty cool groove and not bad for a modest recording. This would be well
worth recording with a better set up. That said, was this recorded live or
did you multi-track?

Nice catchy tune- welcome to Macjams.

not a bad effort at all me laddies.......i say the vocals need to be clearer, not louder imho...............i too use the tascam 4-track to record but then do post production on 'puter...................im guessing your looking for notes on song writing and the such rather than production grief, from your forum post....

i feel the song needs a breakdown or at least some kind of rest from the galloping beat in the middle somewhere....
two vocals works well, is it the one singer? 'cause if so, he has quite a range......
the drums should play along with the emotion and rythyms of the vocals occasionally to break up the monotony.....

i agree with scoooterDman when he says that this song is humble and a grower.
dress in black, gel your hair down and have no expression in your faces and the emo kids will lap this up....
love the use of the word 'lassie' as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

old fashioned
i really liked it. Unfortunately i dont really have any worthwhile
knowledge to impart as to how to improve the production quality, but i
loved the song. Its very soothing and comfortable. Not a waste of time in
the least.

Nice
I like this much, but I can't comment on the clarity of vocals. Right now, I'm listening at work, with the volume low, on a laptop, and I can make out the vocals just fine. What it sounds like on a real sound-system, well.... just don't know.
Nonetheless, gets high marks from me.

Hey, Woodguy, if you're out there reading, I can hear a WG32 remix on this - especially on the bass.

Nice
Thanks mate. It was done quickly on a Tascam and I agree vocals could be clearer but its the old story time and money maybe we will get it down more proffesionally in future. Thanks again for taking time to comment. Cheery

Nice song
It works on its simplicity, with the beat carrying it along and providing
a solid foundation for everything else. I don't think the production
issues matter too much as long as the music is heartfelt. Keep 'em
coming.

nice contrast
interesting contrast of the being in love and the kiss my arse. i find it interesting that you sing the chorus so mellow and in a lovey voice. it's a unique contrast. the lyrics are creative. i like the style of the singing, but agree they could be a little more clear in spots.

kiss my...
this is a fun catchy tune. i agree that i wouldn't mind hearing the vocals
more in the mix.

fun lyrics. performance could do with a *little* tightening up, although
the looseness of it works in a way.

funny to think that summer's over... it's nowhere near over here.

i think i'm about to download this one. :)
