Description
I wrote this song while in high school--and decided to resurrect it the other day to see what I could do with it in GarageBand. A lot of it ended up coming across like I've been hearing it in my head for all these years--and there are other parts I had not even imagined would be in the song.
I don't remember writing it because of something that had happened in my life--i think it was just one of those songs that float around in yer head.

Rearview Mirror
words and music by arin m.
2006
I looked into the rearview mirror/ And saw your hand wave in the air/ I put a kiss on my fingertips/ Then let my breath take it there./ I drove away on that sunny day/
The dust clouds up along the road/ I can no longer see your face/ All of the times we shared together/ Will never be replaced/ Cause I drove away on that sunny day/
Can someone help me ease the pain/ of a time that no longer remains?/ I drive in desperate search of something/ But all I seem to find is nothing/
The scenery-it starts changing/ And now Im far away from you/ Many things should not have happened/ How could I've been so untrue?/ So i drove away on that sunny day/
Can someone help me ease the pain/ of a time that no longer remains?/ I drive in desperate search of something/ But all I seem to find is nothing/
I should have known that something that good doesn't come along every mile/ now Im alone and I live with it/ Thats half the trial/

This is great. Did you program the drums yourself? That's something I can never be bothered to do.
This reminds me of a lot of the stuff I like listen to. I can imagine it being used in the final scene of an episode of something like Dawson's or Smallville. You must be very happy with it.
