Shinin' Down on Me

Description
This is the instrumental for a song that still doesn't have lyrics that sit right. (Basically about how happy and in love the singer is- thus the 'pop' designation.) It's short, sweet and upbeat. It uses a couple of percussion loops and a backing guitar loop occasionally Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little melody.

Hey!
This is really nice! Very upbeat. Cool use of (synthed?) lead guitar and
ethnic drums. I love the feel of this and look forward to the finished
version (with vocals---right?).

Be well!

Hey!
Yup, I'm working on lyrics. (well, they're on the back burners of my mind) and
I'm hoping to get a younger voiced person to sing them. The lead is a synth
guitar, and actually will only play a few licks, as the vocal line will get the melody
most of the time. Thanks much for listening and commenting - I was afraid I
had a comment orphan on my hands, here.

Great start
I don't know where you're coming from
I don't know where you've been
What I do know is I like your style -
And I want you for my friend ....

Ha-ha - that's what popped into my head after listening to your upbeat soundtrack for the first time.

I love the textured opening.

After the melody comes in, I keep wanting to add more instruments to play off (or along with) that dominant guitar, but then I have to keep reminding myself that a vocal track will be doing that.

I like a song that doesn't shy away from presenting a strong melody. This is a great start - it will be interesting to see how it develops.

Great start
Warren, thanks for stopping in. Your lyrics are catchy, I always get a kick out of
people who 'come up' with words to songs on the fly like that. (I'm not one, but I
have a friend who does parodies all the time.) I'll keep working on this one and
let you know when it's done.
