Excellent Kenta, thank you for listening and commenting. You are very observant, there were lots of places in this piece that I had to fill in around Dion's base tracks. I tried to add bass and in and around his bass for instance. Made for some interesting sonic transitions. peace - john Check out my latest song called Texas stump

Wow... nice jamming! John, you really did Dion's exquisite rhythmic groove justice with your keyboard sounds. This piece is sonically satisfying! Be well! |

Me gusta a mí tambien Yeah, I too like it; it's got a really interesting opening, then settles into a nice groove. But I wanted the neat stuff you had at the opening to continue, or at least come back! There was a cool guitar vamp thing happening in there, but where'd it go? I thought you were setting up a cool jam for the guitar, or maybe the guitar jamming with the electric keyboard. Also, not sure if this is just my setup, but it seemed like the levels were kind of low, and the tone fairly muted. Anyone else find this? I'm not a big fan of fade-out endings, but hey, they exist, and there's really nothing wrong with 'em, so yours is fine. I guess I just like to have things end more conclusively, but that's probably just me. The main thing is that (a) I think it's really, really good; got a very cool overall feel, but (b) I wish it had gone on longer, and I wish the coolness at the beginning hadn't been abandonded! Cheers, Clark Check out my latest song called Scarlet Nightfall

Me gusta a m tambien Clark, all welcome and excellent observations. That cool intro is Dion Young (Cydniko) he emailed me a "bed" and then I painted over it. Always a fun thing, but alas somewhat limited in the interaction available. I think the muted sound is my issue, as I have yet to master the mixing so as to achieve maximum saturation and clarity. You... Ah hah... Very nice work, mister K - Oh how saweeeet it is... - I was kinda taken aback when you first mentioned that it didn't work for you and not because I was offended or anything, it was more that I thought that this was right up yer alley - I'm glad that things came together for you on this - You tagged it with, 'what is warm and sultry' - And abit sexxxy too - Thanks, this was good - Dion Check out my latest song called 123 iGetU

Cool On the surface, the piece is laid back and groovy. But on second listen, I hear an underlying melancholy that sort of sweeps through the piece. Perhaps I'm just in a sad state of mind. But I really like the feelings this piece evoked in me. Nice job, guys. Check out my latest song called Sparkles in a Lullaby

Smooth and pleasant Smooth and pleasant, with a nicely understated and ethereal rhythm (altho the snare was more like a click track than an instrument). Consider placing this in Jazz or New Age, since it doesn't seem like a Rock instrumental to me. Check out my latest song called Forge A New Life (MJRF)

Smooth and pleasant Tobin, classification has always been a bitch for me. The snare was in the sound bed, so I couldn't much do anything there. Although it didn't jump at me until you mentioned it. Shame on you! :-) Classic collab of Cyd sending me an MP3 and me adding stuff (no changes to his work) and straight to post. Someday I'd like to collect all my fav MJ'ers and bring them into a studio and sand the edges. When I hit the lottery! Check out my latest song called Texas stump
