Tasteful
Very tastefully done. The mix on the mellotron was very well done.
Good harmony and nothing overdone. Keeping things simple is always
a challenge.

Good song.

Nice change up
I liked the way you built this. Simple, open, then layer on layer more
texture. What got me was as you were building toward the last chorus
and all the BVGs were coming on strong, I was expecting to here that
accidental chord push toward the chorus, but that would be too
predicatble!. Nice melodic vamp, but you threw in that chord to tie it all
together.

Well done old boy.

Beautiful!
Nice guitar picking throughout. Great lyrics beautifully sung (you have an
excellent voice). Effective use of the mellotron. Love it.

Be well!

brilliant
I have trouble getting past the lennon thing. I'm a huge Lennon fan. Not a day goes by in my house when Beatles and /or lennon plays. My wife thinks I.'m nuts. This is the best piece I've heard on this site yet. Vocals, damn the guitar you nailed it! Gotta go, gotta listen to the rest of your stuff. great job Brian. Keep creating. RP

my third tune
you are a true song crafter... there are several componants that ALL
have to come together, before we get a song that feels like it should
always have been there... you seem to have an intuitive feel for this...
Your voice and playing are so strong... the arrangments and back vox
are all so pro... did you produce this yourself?

let me welcome you to MJ... I've just found your stuff this morning, and
I'm a fan

my third tune
it's all me, done on my computer in garageband. i record everything except
drums. i build out the drumparts from all the jampack drum loops. i don't play
drums very well, and besides if I did my neighbors would hate me!

thanks for the kind words!

B

PS I do have a great plugin called M-Tron by G-Media that has all the mellotron
tape bank sounds. It's indispensible - the strawberry fields forever flutes,
strings, choir, etc. a must have!

The kindess of beauty
Wo. This is great. I also like the slight rhythm track, like Mother Nature's
Son (also White Album), but the Fogelberg influence even more so shines
thru. I just love this sort of music, and this is done SO WELL! Goodness.
