Lyrics
Sad eyed lady, lo - where ya been? Did the riptide pull you out, then push you back again? You sadly wore your party dress - the one that never fails to impress.

Wilted flowers for the one that let you down. Shook your confidence and turned it upside down.

Sad eyed lady, lo - what's the matter? Did the lowlands finally steal the pitter from your patter? You live too hard, you run too fast - maybe this time you'll be free at last.

Wilted flowers for the one that stole your heart. Pinched your pinafore then watched you fall apart. Surely next time you'll be wiser from the start.

This is just an incidental interlude that interrupts the storyteller from the story line. You're beautiful and you should know that one day you'll feel better, when you have a little distance you'll be fine.

Sad eyed lady, lo - don't be sadder. you're not taken by all this idle chitter chatter. you live too hard, you love too fast - maybe next time you will make it last.

Wilted Flowers for the one that stole your song. Sings your melody but gets your lyrics wrong. It's just a taste of what it takes to make you strong.

Let me take you down, take a spin to happytown......

Pitter from your Patter? LOL
Hey Brian, once again bringing the hook and some clever music. I know
it's a hassle but you're robbing us of some of your clever turn of phase.
You can edit the songs profile and post the lyric then. Keep up the
awesome work.

Pitter from your Patter? LOL
Thanks again for the nice words, Roy. I like how you get my jokes! (pitter -
patter, etc) I put the lyrics up as recommended. BTW, I was referencing "sad-
eyed lady of the lowlands" in the lyric. no reason in particular, I just love that
phrase (the song, too, of course)

cheers!

I hear lots of different influences in here... all good.

This is a well-executed track in all respects... well-conceived, arranged
--- and performed.

Wonderful!
Welcome to MJ. You sure didn't take a long time in making a name for
yourself here - this is just great!
Was instantly grabbed by the nice guitar riffs and of course that cowbell
(how can one not like the cowbell?). The great vocal performance and
harmonies then kept me interested the whole time.
But you should really post the lyrics!

Anyway - a definate download!

Wonderful!
"I got a fever, and the only prescription is MORE cowbell.." heh heh. Ya gotta
love the cowbell (although I'll bet my neighbors don't! That sucker is LOUD.)
Anyway, thanks for the nice words.

Excellent
This is a great track. Your voice, the guitar, the groove, the cowbell - it all
works so well. Great production, the cowbell gives a real 'Free - Alright
Now' sort of feel to it.

keep it coming!

Truly spectacular
Amazing; fully professional. I'll just echo an above comment and say it'd
be great if you had your lyrics posted, because I like to read them as I
listen. 10-10-9-10

Ready for the radio
Such a great radio-ready tune/track. Love the happy rock feel. Such
solid, enjoyable, delightful pop music with fantastic vocals and a
wonderful driving rhythm guitar. Great arrangement. Would have like
lyrics posted, tho. Excellent track.

You had me...
I was sailing over sparkly rainbows with that chorus! The rest of the song
was solid as well. Reminds me of classic radio hits from days gone by.

tasty hooks
guitar riffs are great! really tight
excellent mix and performance. great tone from the guitar. super
vocals.
little solos are great, especially the second guitar solo is real cool. this
is what I'd think of as a well-thought out radio friendly rock tune.

something really special............
This is good...real good. Great vocals! When you get this close to having something really special, you don't stop until it's perfect. Music excellent. If I were in studio w/ you I'd tell you to tighten up opening vocals. ("party dress" ). The vocals get stronger as track moves forward. Damn good work...great writing! Definite "9's" across the board, one of the best on site! RP

Lovin your stuff
your writing is so pro... and the production and playing is so right...
the vocal is passionate and convincing... the bridge is brilliant... I love
it that your material doesn't leave me feeling like you had a riff that
you needed to put words to... all elements work toward the story you
tell...

I'm visiting the rest of your posts

Still love the song
I came by to revisit this tune, this time playing it for my daughter. She loved it, I smiled. I'd like to encourage you to give this a spin in the Ikh Zone.

Just a great tune. Still smiling. Bye.
