Description
I've just started a new project, putting my poetry to music. If I compile the best into a CD, I'll call it "Poetry in Notion... " Is that funny? Or does it look like a typo~! Haha!
Anyway, this is sad, yet hopeful, so... hope you like it!

Lyrics
"REMISSION"
Stacey K. Black
Power words, flower words
good-for-at-least-an-hour words
hope generated by those syllables
perishable and billable
don't forget to make your co-payment.
Funny days, money days
don't-we-deserve-some-sunny days?
Laughter eases aches and pains
comfort strains, fortune drains
don't forget to update your will.
Worried tears, flurried tears
hope-no-one-is-watching-buried tears
humor grotesquely transmogrified
horrified, and mortified
don't forget to swallow your pharmacopeia.
Happy thoughts, sappy thoughts
sleepless-in-the-deep-night-crappy thoughts
amazing each new rising moon
another noon, please, one more June
don't forget to savor every sunrise.
Blinding hope, grinding hope
no-harm-in-thinking-the-best-finding hope
cheerfully joyously dancing for grace
join the race, sanguine face
don't forget to seize your life.

I don't want to make this about "me" but it's your post here that brings
it all back like it was yesterday... you eloquently touch on all that we
went through, loosing my wifes mother... How could it possibly have
been "her time"... If I came up wu=ith a lyric this good I think I would
also try it in song form instead of poetry... just because songs usually
reach more people and this lyric is soo soo good... this is not a nit
pic...it's just I would be jealous over something this well stated and I
can really hear how this would work in song
