Lyrics
The angry sky opened wide
ripping everything in sight
turning the day into night
it's best you stay inside

chorus
fire red this world
fire red this world

it's a warning i see light
flaming torches split the night
no more clear days through the haze
this is called the end of days

chorus
fire red this world
fire red this world

all countries rise and centuries fall
is this the end of us all
brought down by how smart we are
paranoia raised the bar

chorus
fire red this world
fire red this world

there is no place to run and hide
there is no place to shield from the light
looks to me everything is fried
it was the day the universe cried
chorus
fire red this world
fire red this world

Awesome truth!
Yes, the fire rages while our guitars gently weep! A fitting commentary on
the current clime. Great tune with nice production. I think you're right
about Jimi. We all do whatever we can. I also think he would "thumbs up"
your lead solo!

Be well!

Thanks for the listen. Besides the world tension it was over 100 degrees in my
recording room .....hmmm fire red room? Sometimes before i start a song i think
what music influence would inspire the lyrics. Besides this style gives me pride
to rip out a solo. Thank god guitar slos are coming back in vogue!

from the start
of the guitars mounting the air raid siren, thru the blistering solo right
to the jamfest end...great song

The vocal doubling worked well. really got a nice phat sound. Great git
work all around. I could see this done live with that ending just turning
into one firce fireball of a jam.

found it here. Jammin. Really jammin.
Love the sound of the lead here. Controled sustain with a hummbucker under the hood I suspect.

a slight tribute
to the later hendrix sound. i can't quite remember which parts where the neck pickup or the bridge, which is a humbucker. but more due to a fair amount of compression and the hands. i have a few more hendrixy type of songs that just haven't been finished yet. someday.

Tone Bone!
Great tones on the guitar, as always. I especially liked your lead tone and the clean rhythm tone.

May have dropped some of the lead work during the verses, but what the heck it's fun.
