Hmmm...
Smokey, this is definitely experimental :)
The main rhythmic noise goes fast and then slow, not as soothing as say
a copy machine, this may bother some listeners. I like the incidental
noises and would like to hear more of them over the rhythm (personal
taste here).
Thanks for posting.

hi thanks for responding - this is totally experimental indeed!

if you could point out some time points (x seconds into the song) it would help
me out a lot! where it go from fast to slow?

(i'm serious - no sarcasm here... i want to learn how you think about it.)

i hear you about the "incidentals" they are fun and engaging. i assume you mean
"oh oh"?

Hmmm...
I am referring to the rhythm that sounds like two slow toms, a little roll and
then two fast toms. The cycle adds up correctly, but when I listen closely the
slow toms sound like they are dragging and the fast ones like they are
rushed, the difference is not large enough to sound like different fractions of
the beat (like the difference between eighth notes and triplets). This noise is
repeated throughout (with one pause in the middle) Is the noise from some
kind of brush that only rubs on the car for half its cycle?

The odd voices and other non-rythmic noises of the car wash are what add
color and interest to a piece like this.

Sorry for the clumsiness of my online prose, but it is hard to communicate
without tone of voice.

BTW Sarcasm simply does not work in online comments, but I suspect not
everyone realizes this.

thanks - now i know what you mean. i guess my only excuse is that the
recording i made sounded that way. i'm not exactly sure now what was
making that pounding noise when i recorded it. it was NOT repetitive: i
looped it to make it so.

basically i kept shifting the timing when i formed the loops, trying to find the
right start time. i went for the most musical things i could identify. i didn't cut
apart sounds into finer chunks and re-assemble them. (although that's an
interesting idea!)

the other one like this, "Do I Know You?" similarly was manipulated to make
the ambient noises line up reasonably well with the drum loops. here, i tried
to create something without any "real" loops at all. it's 100% ambient sounds.

Hmmm...
I like "Do I know you" better. Machines that run steadily are very rhythmic and
can replace the drum track. I don't suppose you get into factories very much?

What the Funk?
Sounds like a sonic Groundhog Day (the movie). Well done my friend,
albeit a tad puzzling!

Be well!
