Lyrics
The sea is layering the sun
Reflecting reddish light
These lovers shortly will be gone
To spend a perfect night

And who am I to interfere
To interrupt their smiles
To feel again that you are near
I’d walk three hundred miles

Undergo the wind that blows
While following its trace
Every step that you will take
Will lead you to my place

Undisclosed, this secret’s veiled
No promises, no ache
You nor me can prophesy
The path that it will take

So many people walking by
I love this crowded place
And when I close my eyes I try
To capture your embrace

The sea keeps singing to my soul
Oh gosh, I like this song
The water’s making us a whole
Again where I belong

I’ll send my lyrics to a star
The shyest in the blue
It doesn’t matter where you are
I will belong to you

Nice and moody
Has a great sound. Such a dark and intense mood. I love the contrast
between the two vocals - the verses sound so dream and whistful while
the chorus sounds more down to earth and real. Gives the piece such a
great tone and feel. Thanks for sharing.

hypnotic
This is really hypnotic... I like it! The strange chromatic meandering
melody, the nice voices with intriguing accents, and the romantic and
enigmatic lyrics... I just had to stop everything and listen. It drew me
into a different world. There are some minor problems, but they are
really minor. The song starts very abruptly, as if the very beginning
was cut off a little. Wildcat's reading voice is very good, but it sounds
like she is reading from a page... I think she needs a little more
emotion in the words. Walter's voice is as deep and rich as the ocean,
very nice... but there were a couple of English Language problems...
the word "veiled" is pronounced as if it were a "long A" sound, "valed".
And the phrase "You nor me can prophesy" would sound more correct
(but maybe harder to rhyme and get the meter right) as "Neither You
nor I can prophesize". So, other than that, I really like this... it has a
dreamy other-worldly feel... it reminds me a little of "The Residents".
Wildcat's and Moorlandt's voices are quite good together, and this
music showcases them well.

Drakonis

hypnotic
Thanks a million drak for these nice and very interesting comments! I feel so ashamed about this stupid language mistake (prophesy/prophesize...), and I really appreciate that you mentioned it. You probably know that neither Tanja nor me are native English speakers, but that may not be an excuse. What if we change the sentence into 'none of us can prophesize...' You know, any comment on language issues is very very welcomed! So, thanks again for stopping by and taking your time...

Nice Combo
What a lovely musical pair the two of you make. This song has such a
cool vibe and a really interesting, unexpected hip-hop vibe (the beats
and some of the instruments, the piano especially) which makes the
spoken-word portions even more effective. Love the double vocal on
Walter's part and I think Tanja's reading of the lyrics is full of emotion.

Terrific song, guys. I've downloaded to add to my collection of your
songs. May I encourage you to do lots more?

Nick Cave
For some reason this song reminds me of ''where the wild roses grow'' by Nick Cave.

Moorlandt, you sound like Nick Cave:) Wildcat must be Kylie then I guess;)
I could have said much of the same drakonis did. Strange hypnotic chord progression and mood. The repeating piano gets a bit to much at some places, but I see the point of having it there.

Wildcats sexy voice with the cool accent is very nice.

Wow, that's a great comparison, Thor! You made my day... I mostly remember the videoclip of Cave's and Minogue's duet. Hmmm... brings me to an idea :-)

Fantastisch!
Walter - another excellent outing from you! Listening as I write - LOVE
the punchy bass! Tanja, your voice is perfect for this song - sounds
like something from a cabaret club in Berlin (aber auf englisch
natuerlich!). Walter, your voice is also ideally suited to this. You make
a great combination. Sax is excellent, and the overall instrumentation
amazingly good - this is your best yet (and I've loved all your stuff).
Love the odd chordal changes.
I have one suggestion - just something that might feel right, but hardly
important. I'd leave the very last line ("I will belong to you") of Tanja's
vocal out and put the echo on "It doesn%u2019t matter where you are" so that
it just hangs in mid air. Having said that, I don't think it's any big deal.
I continue to be impressed by your writing in English Walter -
congratulations to you both!
Herzlichen dank!
Neil

Fantastisch!
Yes, I feel so glad that I found her in that dark Berliner cabaret that night. It didn't take long for her to impress me... Haha, thanks once again for your lovely and very valuable comments, Neil. And I can see what you mean with ending on 'it doesn't matter where you are...' This is far more suggestive. Certainly a very good idea... for our German version coming up.

Cool
First of all - I particularly liked the sound of the electric piano and the
drum snare (software? real?).
I did not however like the sax bit. I liked what it was playing, but synth
brass has always been a pet peeve of mine - It just lacks the soul the
real things have. But I probably wouldn't have noticed it if the rest of
the ensemble wasn't so emotional and soulful.
I have to agree with drak about the spoken word, though. I thought the
first spoken part was a little dry - emotionally speaking, but the later
two parts sounded fine.
I really like Walter's voice in this. It really matches the mood of the
background.

Nice work, guys - kudos to you both!

Cool
Thanks so much Einar once again for your valuable comments. Well, the sax really seems to be twist when I read all these comments: some like it a lot, others don't. But I'm getting your point on this. I consider it more as a kind of 'sound accent' (just like the few piano notes in this piece) rather than an instrument playing a melody. It would never come up in my mind to use GB's software brass as a leading instrument. I certainly second your opinion on that.

As always... thanks for listening.

Euro-cool
You've perfectly captured a very distinctive Euro-cool mood mood; the
two vocalists perfectly compliment one another. It is sexy, but still cool,
aloof, always interesting, drawing the listener in. I think it would have
been neet to have another section in there at some point, maybe just a
slightly wonky but ever cool instrumental, where not much happens, but
the hypnotic rhythm continues into a new idea, a bridge, I guess.

Euro-cool
Thanks again so much Clark for these constructive comments. And in fact I second your opinion on the bridge. We will be doing a German vesion shortly, and I might foresee this part after the second time I sang the chorus.

My new sleeping aid
I have had tried many ways to sleep, I have a few disabilies from the Korean war,I tried all the usual medical junk, even hypnosis, and flute music, nothing worked, this relaxes me so much, I can listen, and get drowsy, it is not to say it is bad, my wife, also from Ireland, had a soft voice, that helped, but she's been away these 3 years,I love it.
Thanx

Moody and salt sprayed
Pretty cool collab. Like a fog lifting, then settling back, then lifting,
then settling again. For some strange reason, this reminds me of "On
an Evening in Roma (Sott'er Cielo De Roma)" by Dean Martin. Similar
images of lovers disappearing into the night. Of course, your night is
darker and your lovers more liquid.
