Pretty cool groove...
you have going here. I definitely think you could put some lyrics to this. It's very lively and fun to listen to. Kinda a Midnight Hour sound in a few parts. cheers...

great bass
Nice sounds Steve - Midnight Hour for sure with some great bass for
good measure. This has heaps of potential for development - good
luck finding the right voice.
Cheers,
Neil

i was diggin on this
when it started it sounded like this could've been from the rock opera
Tommy, then i double checked the genre this was posted under and by
that time the R&B kicked in but i like the changes you throw in there. what
i perceived to be a chorus, the F,C,Eb,Bb part, is very cool. the three main
musical section you use work well together and keep it interesting
throughout. good luck with your singer/lyricist search!

btw, i always find myself going back to GB. I have ProToolsLE which i
absolutely love but GB is so much easier and faster for the way i work. href="http://www.macjams.com/song/23739">you can check out my
latest GB creation here.

I'll bite
You have an infectious combination of parts here. The horn thing
sounded odd at first, but it grows on you and gives this an enjoyable and
original sound. Hope someone comes up with verses for this, that would
definitely round it out.

Groovy

I like all the bits except the bit that sounds too 'Midnight Hour" as
Dadai pointed out earlier .. with a completely different vocals on the
top that quality might disappear, I'd have to hear the outcome.

Looking forward to hearing this with some female vocals.

Are you using soft bass amps for this I wondered too? Just curious ..

dancing to the rhythm
i love the wackyness and the loopy-happy impression of this piece. this is
my favourite kind of loopy-adventurous tune ! (no offence by using the
term -loopy :) it is an extreme, explosive, evocative happiness for me)

:) thanks for sharing

Happy Happy
This is a very neat quirky piece. Love the saturated guitar tone and the horns are a great touch. How can someone not have a smile after listening to something like this?

Love the quicks in this.
I love the idea of rocking out with a bassoon! At first I wondered if I'd like
the groove to be tighter, but after getting used to the sound, I think I like
it just the way it is. I'm not a lyricist but I would love to hear some quirky
lyrics to boost the odd nature of this even farther, a la David Byrne. I can't
wait to hear it when (you say) it's finished.

Monsters!
I just listened to Blue Monster from egobandit and now Latest Monster,
original music kind of reminds me of old 50's/60's cartoon soundtracks

Addictive
Song has great potential. I like the transitions between the little

this has an...
... infectious quality to it. really fresh sounding to me! i love the usage of the horns, and the bass groove is tight. i think it (the bass) could be a louder in parts, though. it really anchors the whole thing.
tons of potential here! i'd love to hear it once you decide to come back to it!

Amazing how a song grows.
daring takes center stage and I think works very well here
sloparts said 789 days ago (September 29th, 2007)
The opening threw me off a bit,
But man when you got into the groove it was jammin. This has a lot of potential Steve. it does have kind of an After Midnight feel going for it, but it also sounds a little like something Fleetwood Mac would put together.

Now what you need are some killer lyrics, and a Stevie Nicks like vocalist and you've got a real hit on your hands.

Keep up the great work Steve
