Like it!
Nice collection of sounds here - like the build up - not sure it fits into
ambient (maybe a little too much drive) but it's not techno either.
Impressive use of the keyboard - like it!

re: Like it!
(hmmm... my previous reply seems to have vanished. let's try this again)

as usual, i have no clue what genre this should go into

it's too strong for ambient - but it's not rock either

classical: that's the ticket! :-)

thanks for listening

This
is rock'n'roll.... sort of ambience too tho. I'd call it rock (instrumental). This is a cool smooth, gliding piece. Iiked it, though I thought some changeups would have been cool. Nice textures.

re: This
OK... let's try Rock (Instrumental) - though the build up might lose a lot of
folks expecting pounding drums and screaming guitars right out of the
chute...

thanks for the suggestion!

(i can always try classical next...)

re: Fits Here
hey, thanks peacepiano. this might be my first "rock" tune on the site. we
are so surrounded by music in stores and restaurants, that i feel so
immersed in commercial (and mostly excellent i might add) rock music,
that i rarely dive into that realm myself. they've already done it all. maybe
i need to explore this space a bit more...?

i wrote a poem about the scourge of the new muzak music a while back:
the death of
the Muses
. maybe i should do something with it...

New catagory--ambient rock!
Sounded a bit classical at first, then when the deep wind-like instrument
came in it just kept running uphill. Nice reserved use of drums. If it were
me, I might trim it a bit, but I enjoyed this. Thanks.

a new genre? cool.
let's see if reply is really working...

ambient rock? hmmm... i've already been accused of creating a genre. why not
another one?

(seriously, i don't buy in to the idea of genres much. whatever sounds nice to me
is what i do. let someone else sort that out.)

thanks for your comment!

Up Up And Away...
nice ever-building sonic soundscape. Love the guitar bits throughout.
Very nice, this.

Be well!

Hey Smokey.....
Like the name, and the music, thanks for sharin'. My only neg. is to vary those keyboards a bit more, like the guitar work, on the end especially, good stuff.

keyboards
yeah, i hear you. it's too easy to let a loop just, well, loop. yet here, i did want it
to become somewhat relentless. but i guess i went a little too far for your taste.

thanks for commenting on the guitar: i was only thinking about playing my
guitar on this one tho - it was actually played on a keyboard with lots of bend
control. but i was imagining guitar when i did it!
