Description
Originally recorded in garageband last year. just a kind of dream state song. got around to remixing it in logic express. This is a more mellow side of my songs. i wanted to keep a even flow, so yes the drum track is consistant throughout i thought about it and couldn't really think of adding any change to that. if you have ideas..i'm open

Lyrics
chorus
sailing on a sea of teardrops
drifting on a wind of forgotten dreams
of time

something speaking
words no one would hear
letters written
didn't seem clear
picturres we've seen
only for the blind
the colors where lost
only in the mind

chorus
sailing on a sea of teardrops
drifting on a wind of forgotten dreams
of time

someone was saying
he saw the light of two moons
his soul was cast off
to the satelites dunes
fractured right
crusades of personel
create enemies to fight
seeking the imagined grail

chorus
sailing on a sea of teardrops
drifting on a wind of forgotten dreams
of time

burned out eyes
watching a photoplay
mouthing actors lines
like ghosts on the stage
lost all instincts
all desensitized
lost and found dreams
drowned souls baptazized

chorus
sailing on a sea of teardrops
drifting on a wind of forgotten dreams
of time

Very Nice
Great dreamy mellow sound. Love the lyrics. The production is very nice
as well - a very clean smooth sound.

sad
such sad words... and you've created a calm mood to suit them. I like the guitars and the steadiness of the drums and bass. They are very consistent as you point out, but it sort of reinforce the calmness and the connection to the sea of tears...

thanks
i think the rythm simplicity for a slow song worked in this case. lyric wise i wrote
these years ago or i should say they wrote themselves but i've alsways have liked
imagery in lyrics. Thanks for listening. i was a little leary of posting this at first.

Logic rules!
Love the calm soundscape behind your interesting lyrics - this sounds
very clean and is an interesting mix. For what it's worth, I'd probably
(only slightly) move the L and R guitar/s more to the centre of the
sooundstage, or perhaps move them further back in the mix - they get
a little distracting after a while - and let the synth sounds move up a
bit. Logic really makes a difference doesn't it!?!

logic does rule
i've had it for 8 months now. i still find cool ways to tweak stuff. of course it
gives you the itch to go to the full version. Very good point on the guitars. i'm
going to try that out. Thanks!

i think my age is showing
the late 60's and early 70' were my formative years. besides i thought you had
the lock down on the bowie stuff. Thanks!

Pretty
The song title caught my eye because i have a song of my own called "A Pool of Tears." I even used water sound effects, like you, but it's quite a different sound from this

You sound very technically skilled, as well as creating a lovely song.

takes a lot of trial and error in recording. i've got earlier stuff that i now wonder what was i thinking of. so i've been going back fixing stuff or when i learn something new i off again re-editing. it's an endless cycle. thanks for coming to the sea. be sure to towel off. thanks again!

This is fab
Yes this is officially good. Well done Vic. I'm also glad to offer this advice do some vocal harmonies extend all the notes at the end of each sung line and add a massive amount of slap echo.

Aw the best

Great !
Great song, Great melody, Great vocal and lyrics. I wish the vocal wasn't more effected to be in the sides .. but it's still great .. One of your acoustics Mr. Vic ! This is just great .. WHY THERE ARE NO PEOPLE IN THE FANS ? (but i'm think that i'm lucky to be the 1st one there) !

Take Care
