Description
Everythings temporary in life. Think Hotel California but you can always leave. Kinda of a poppy song, so i had to screw aroung with the vocal with a little processing effects

Lyrics
where are thebroken hearts
who need a place to stay
rejected to this this place
where others turn away

going through the motions
stumbling along the way
who wants to go through this
with the one they miss

read the personal ads
what do they really say
desperate for attention
true love is a call away

Chorus
join the lonely hearts
we've all been there before
members join for free
but few will ever stay

fingerpainting on the walls
makes no sense at all
thinking in the abstact
hiding a well known fact

stop for a moment of silence
for feeling the way i do
drop all the regrets
it's the best i can do

Chorus
join the lonely hearts
we've all been there before
members join for free
but few will ever stay

moving on with someone else
it's how you break the spell
how we torture ourselves
back from mental hell

goes to show love is mental
you thought it was physical
love and hate is international
but love is sensational
Chorus
join the lonely hearts
we've all been there before
members join for free
but few will ever stay

:D
I'd like to nominate you as the Matthew Sweet of MacJams.
Many thanks for many smiles and the embarassing bobble head thing I
do,
Bill

thanks bill!
i never thought of the comparison until you mentioned it. must have had the
same music influences growing up. watch that head bobbin' somebody might
want to stick you in a rear car window. really appreciate all your listens and
comments.

Signature sound
Something psychedelic about this song, I enjoyed it.

true
i think all my songs have a hint of that. way back when, that style had a major
inpact on me. also i treated the vocal to give it a odd vibe with a little
modulation effect and setting the low cut up pretty high. thanks for thr listen,

Vic

Takes me back...
...to a decade I can't quite recall! I hear hints of Beatles, Kinks, Moody
Blues, the Nazz and Pink Floyd herein. Wonderful and very up-beat
psychedelic pop-rock. Love it.

Be well Vic!

Like it!
Permanent flashback indeed - this is pure early 70s to me Vic. I've got
that head bobbing thing happening here too : ) Psychedelia lives in
VH!

Thanks Neil
the best i can figure is somewhere between hearing strawberry fields forever and
frigid pinks version of house of the rising sun, for the first time, i must have
burned my music memory chip in my brain and didn't realize it. and careful of
the head bobbin' i can't be held responsible for neck injuries.

Dang! Mungo's ahead of me!
Okay...it's that crossing over point between Matthew Sweet and Michael
Penn.....with EVEN just a hint of Ray Davies in bits of the vocal phrasing...

Still really enjoying the layers of variously processed guitars...

thanks ed
i like either twist words around or tell a story. ray davies could do that so well.
funny thing is when i listen to other songs i don't hear what there saying, i get
caught up in the color of it. i approach my guitars and songs the same way.
maybe i'm dyslexic in my hearing and my typing....i wish there was spell check
here.

why
have I not heardthis song before? so good. it's kind of psych-punk. were you ever into the flaming groovies? love when the fuzz comes into the great garage punk chorus.
