Lyrics
I've got a midlife revolution
Staring me in the face
I've got an iron constitution
Rusting all over the place
I've got to work on getting younger
Even though I'll loose that race

Good Production
I like your vocals and the guitar riffs and sounds. Drums and bass are
also good. The wah guitar gets a little acerbic, but so does a mid life
revolution.

Great sound. Good song.

just to clarify
Thanks to everyone for their comments! The vocals are sampled off the web (see song description) and are not my own. I've just fitted them into the song - they fitted perfectly with no time stretching etc.

Revolution...
Good use of the poem...I'm not sure why I like this but I do...it just sort of fits with my mood today. I like the phaser on the guitar...and great vocal effects.
Thanks for sharing...

logic 101
if you composed this song, an your father was useless, then, you are not
in fact, like your father.

ha ha
Thanks for that vote of confidence! It's actually something my mum once said, and it's obviously stuck with me in an ironic, but sort of truthful, way!!! And no, my father isn't really useless, but he was, in fact, a clown called Smokey Bacon.

the big bang and its aftermath
Very nice work, especially how you streched that vocal bit into a given form and structure.Forget adolescence and its slavery to the hormones, look ahead for the intellectual penetration of the world and space.
Beefy drums well placed in the sound panorama, and they don`t loose strength throughout the arrangement.
Its presumably a better choice to use Logic Express, if it comes to more serious controll of music.
Life without music is comfortless ;-)

Thanks
thanks for the comments they are very much appreciated. Logic has a lot more features for controlling sound than garageband - you can control the way one aspect of an effect changes over the course of a song for instance using automation. It takes a while to learn it however, cos it is not intuitive like garageband, and recording sessions take longer to set up. The beauty of garageband is plug in guitar and blast away.

Scary Groove!
I loved the vibe this song puts out. Puts me in mind of some mean-ass mutha on a mission in the back alleys of a foggy urban setting.

Nice blend of guitar sounds as well, they really complement each other well.

Yes, middle age comes round a bit bloody fast. Where did all the time go? There's loads to fit in and hardly any time left to fit it in to. Argh.

nice raw sound with a great vibe. It'd be very cool to hear what a good engineer in a big time studio could do with you on this ...IF you could keep that vibe goin!
