Sort of 'dark Ziggy'... Something else in here I can't put my finger on...

Weird as it is, could it be a touch of Brian May/Queen in there with the Mick Ronson?

thanks ed
maybe combine both stories into one. speaking of putting your fingers on.. i started counting the chords throughout and theres 17! the solo in that break was at first a run through for levels,etc. and on playback it was the ronson sound. could n't mess with that. i'll let the cat of the bag on how to get it... i used amp modeling of a marshall stack, a little overdrive( not much) short delay & room reverb. with a bbe sonic maximizer foot pedal in front and high pass filter, all this created that wah filter effect that ronson used. wierd tune maybe so but i had fun screwing around with it.
