Nice collab here!
You guys are great together. The sound quality on this is really clean. The playing tight and the licks are pretty. Everything fits together as it should. Man, you should write lyrics for this and sing it!

Take care gents!

gorgeous
This is rich and sweet and soo wonderful to listen to. What a nice piece of music, expertly played and embellished. Faved... great work you two! The bass and drums were a teeny bit boomy, but otherwise this is superb!

Dialogue
Very nice interplay between the two instruments.

The drum sounds a bit mechanical; that distracts. The bass part is good, on the other hand.

This is quite enjoyable to listen to.

cool tune
Like progression, kind of like a A, G, G, am. It is a very catchy progression. I may of not got the exact chords right but I know that a lot of great tunes got hits of chords like. But you made it your own by putting in a flamenco type feel.

Thanks for sharing!

Progression
Thank you ...the honor is ours ..ye the chords sequence
is a very classical one for rumba well we just melt
our flavours there right ..so glad you ejoyed it ....!

peace

Wonderful!
It is a wonderful mandolin that you play here Feter!I really like it when the Bass comes in, it lifts this piece up where it should be!The classical guitar also sounds great on this. This is the kind of music you could hear people improvise, when they are playing live, face to face. That you manage to this through the wired world, is most impressing! Thank you for this wonderful piece!
Feter said 1068 days ago (December 5th, 2006)
thank you my freind !!
this style I never thought I might
envlove with unless Ian open the doors
for me .. with the idea of pickin
the mandolin ..on guitar tunnin
thats what grabs me more ....thnx
alot for your kind words ..!!
apb said 1068 days ago (December 5th, 2006)
Fun jam ..
nice merge of styles too, great playing.. I like that flamenco/latin sound. Production is letting you guys
down a bit .. it does sound a bit boomy in places - if you were to re-visit, I'd work on the backing: drums, percussion for one: shakers, castenettes, light bongos.. the works ..but a bit more subtly in the background, to go for a candlelit jam, light sea breeze kindof thing ..
it's really good but a bit rough around the edges. I
like the way it 'takes off' as the bass comes in too.
Check out my latest song called Misplaced
Feter said 1068 days ago (December 5th, 2006)
percussions
thank you my freind ...yes if we thought
of traditional latin percussions sure
what you are talkin about all fits in ..
but I was all demand for a rock set sound
bass and drums thats all ..sure nothing
like live drums playin ..I tried my best
with the limitations to puts what it need
thats all . it I think its sound ok ! ..

my comment and thanks to everyone
Thanks to everyone for your nice comments. I just wanted to say something about the mixing, I am very interested in what feter did here. By mixing a high pitched mandolin strumming in at low volume with high volume bass, there seems to be, to me, at any rate, a very interesting effect where the rythm penetrates the subconcious or more remote areas of the mind, while the bass is up front where the awareness of the listener is. The effect, to me, is very mystical. Feter's introduction is very deconstructionist and earthy, to me, then works into a celebration of the triumph of the human spirit against adversity. he very brilliantly uses a pentanonic scale over a chord progression that traditionally, atleast in latin music, a mode of the major scale, in his mixing of it with that scale. Feter's strumming is remarkably clean and has impeccable timing. Nice going Feter, I really enjoyed doing this, it is the most fun I have had in a long time.

live act there .....o well ..!!
urbnite said 1067 days ago (December 7th, 2006)
brilliant.
i can definitely see what a blues man had to do with this. i can totally hear it in the mandolin. who would've thought of bluesy-latin mandolin rock?

this is just awesome. i don't know what to say. production could be a bit better, esp. the drums. but it kind of gives it a cool live bootleg feel of an actual time and place. so i like it.
