Gaseous Emanations!

Description
Ironically, this song is not part of the 5 minute challenge. I actually spent several hours on this one.

This is little experiment is made using nothing more than a can of pop and my own voice. Then some tweaking was done using GB. To paraphrase the opening to a song from Grease...
It's infantile. It's juvenile. It's funnier than all heck. Why it's Gaseous Emanations!

What are we in... kindergarten?
C'mon... how childish can you be?

Actually, I laughed my ass off.
This brings back memories of using that cheap sampling Casio SK-1 keyboard for burps and farting noises back in high-school.

Ah yes...
...the Casio SK-1. You know, I've tried to find one of those. They're rare as hen's teeth. And not cheap if you do find one.

Actually there's a guy who modifies them for use in live band situations. I believe Trent Reznor has one. Wicked.

And yes, countless noon hours at the Radio Shack in the mall. Can't imagine how annoyed the sales staff were when we went in and sampled ourselves burping and saying swear words. Those were the days.

Laughing ..
.. queezy .. laughing again .. queezy... my oldest daughter is currently impressed by another girl at
school that has mastered this artform - I wonder if
this could be classed as educational? Mercifully this
can of pop appeared to not be washing down some beans
or brussel sprouts.

Sequel
Perhaps I should think of using the brussel sprout and beans to make a sequel to this one! (I could do it like the old matinee movies and publish it in smellovision!

Ugh.
I tasted some bile on that last one. I'm sure you did too.

Very funny. I wonder if my kids will liek this one... I wonder if they'll ever hear it...

I'm calling you Ewwey Stooey from now on.

Thank You All
Thank you all for the "kind" words.

For the record, the one skill I could not learn through school was the ability to belch at will. What you are hearing are genuine, soft drink induced masterpieces. (some were alter using GB (trying to lay down a rhytm track.)

I don't think I can advertise the types of soft drinks used, but let's just say one of them rhymes with Proctor Stepper, and the other rhymes with Dispepsia (well not really, but you can figure that one out.

This is tasteless.
I have absolutely nothing good to say about this.

When can we hear more of it?

Victor.

for commenting. I don't know if there will be more. This one took a lot out of me. The fact that MacJammers are mailing me Gas X may also be making a statement!

love it.
my brother and I would take the big, old school tape recorder into another room and try to one-up the other by using crass sounds we could capture on tape. ah, those were the days! ingenious!

Thanks
for checking it out.

I believe you are right. It is more fun to do this with friends and siblings.

It is also more entertaining if you have an audience who doesn't think it is funny.

Before Garageband, all I could play was a stereo! I love it. It gives me a way to express myself artistically. Something I wasn't supposed to do when I was trying to be an athlete. For anyone who cares, I used to be a goaltender. I don't feel tha... [see more]
