i hear the santana reference
nice mellow style with some edge to the guitar. some cool things with the restraint in production. good strat sound. and to think i sold a few 74's a long time ago for dirt cheap. who would of thought they would be of any value now a days. really enjoyed!

Thanx for checking in...
I gonna be posting some old stuff I just sucked off Tapes from the Day. Thanks for the vote. I needed the confidence. The sound is analogue all the way. I kinda like it after being digital for some time now. Thank you for checkin it out.

Hey Tim
I didn't know where to start so I went to where you've had less traffic... your a Good player... and you have a great song/groove sense... did you play everything?... I've sometimes thought of mastering to tape just to try and get that tape satuated analog warmth... this has a warmth that digital is pretty stingy with... and a smooth groove.. all those years with cassette recorders and 57's got me started... i thought I was in heaven when I started with 4 trax...what kind of deck did you have?

Hi Scott
I am always so happy when someone goes deeper into the list of songs posted.
About mixing to tape to get warmth and shake the digital feel...I've also thought of trying that also. I read that Paul McCartney has done just that in the past.
This(DaDunt) was a fun tune to make and was in my head for a lot of years. I first recorded this is a studio appartment on a 4 track cassett recorder. A Tascam. I also thought i was in heaven when I saved the $$$ to get it.. I first used whatever i could get my hands on...ie. my drums came from a casio keyboard and my bass was the bottom strings on my guitar tuned down...
I still have those old tapes and man how we have come a long way in home recording.
I used a Roland 840gx workstation in the 90's. It recorded to a zip disk and i burned cd to a seperate unit.
its always been about the fun of recording and listening to my own stuff.
Macjams has taken it to another spectrum and it is so much fun to share.
thank you for stopping in and giving me your time to listen.
peace to you

nice groove
Nice piece. Could tell you enjoyed this one. Parts of the tune reminded me of some of the quick stops and back-ins DiMeola does with some of his tunes.
Also conjured up an image for me of playing on a hot day with a pitcher of ice tea on the table to which to quench during a break and slowly picking up the axe again to see what else will come out.

Santana Sound
I really like your guitar sound! I play with the same style. There are many who claim they have that Santana sound but fall short. It's to my download folder, too add to my drive CD.
