Description
An Apology note that after two Dark and Stormy's turned into a Pop-ish chord sequence, then R. "Sonny" Hatchett comes by and two Stormy's later it's Folk, qua Folk Rock.

Next morning the computer goes on at 0600 and it's Alt. Rock from Sonny. The intended recipient of the apology calls at 0700 to see what's up.

Marvelous, really.

Sonny sings Front and plays Acoustic. Jazzed the Kit, some (Heh).

It is a Summer Song for the Winter Solistice.

sounds joyful
I like the sounds in here. Super vocals, and very cool guitars. The groove thing is tasty and suits the summer breeze feel. Reminds me of something from the seventies, but can't put my finger on what right now...

Say, Brother
MERRY CHRISTMAS

It reminds me of something as well, though I've never quite caught what it is. Funny.

Though, Your Recent Work, Let No One reminds me of "Silent Night" as my Great, Great Uncle, (yes That one) I'm sure intended the solemn wishes of the original for his Congregation. He caught Some "Dutch" for that one - a guitar and use of the native language in a Mass - can't win for losin'.

Your Song is delightfully free of any such contoversy. It is Plain Lovely.

Something different
This is way different to what I'm used to hearing from you Coop. Sonny sings your song really well, and it's apparent that you had a good time doing it. Although there's no lyrics written (yet), I get the feeling that the outcome worked out pretty well for you. You're right, this is a summery song - fits just perfect down here : )
Have a great Christmas and a happy and successful 2007.
Peace,
Neil

Dear Friend, Neil
You know me Too Well.

But a Blues Folky (a Boy like I), could only Bop This Way, thanks to a R. "Sonny" Hatchett, here now, Eh?

I just Love Collabs. I hope in Ought Seven that perhaps you'll give a nod to a piece I send and that we may join in Toe-Tappin' (Bring The Tele, the Twelve, and that superb Vox, Man! Eh?)

Very Merry Christmas to You, Neil.

Universal
I thought the elision of Woman and Summer was a Southern ideal. Well, we'll share.

Nice beat for an apology. Good vocal presentation, though lyrics would help.

Rare vs. Scarce
Best you'd kept it down in the Gentil confines of South, but it got Away, don't Ya Know?

Kidding aside, Thank You and the Lyric Sheet will be posted presently.

Merry Christmas

HEY, HR
MERRY CHRISTMAS

The Real Departure is R. "Sonny" Hatchett, Man. I was singing the Blues (as You guessed) until He Blew onto Scene. He Pumped it, Brother.

Just Love that Collab-Thing.

openness
this a great song. i like the lightness, the openness of the mix and the lyrics.

could it be "dancing in the moonlight" that it was reminded of?

No exotics... heheh
Just one really fine tune. And I agree, it reminds me of something, but at this stage of the game I probably can't remember what. Late Springtime 1970, driving down a country road with the sun shining, fields on either side... kind of song.

Love it
A very different song, far, but not so much, from what I heard from you. Joyfull and dancing, great voice and guitars.

Your versatility....
...is showing Coop! Very nice tuneage here. So different from your other pieces. Nice and upbeat. Great dual vocals. Nice acoustic soloing over a pleasant rhythmic groove. My only nit is it's too short for my taste! I was really getting into it and WHOOSH it was gone....

Be well!

What's not to like?
Great beat, lush, tropical like geetars and something Oh So Familiar about Sonny's vocal...hmmmn.

Great song and a more than worth first listen for me in 2007. Hell, I'd make it the first download of the year, if I could.
