Lyrics
i loved you from the moment when i saw you,
i loved you from the moment when we met,
i loved you from the first time that i held you in my arms . . .
and babe, i haven't stopped loving you yet.
i loved you all the times we spent together,
i loved you all the times we spent apart,
the only thing that saw me through . . .
was knowing that you loved me too . . .
but then one day you went and broke my heart.
when you said your love had gone,
it blew me to pieces like an atom bomb . . .
i spent all my days just crying,
asking what did i do wrong ? . .
i always thought our love would last forever,
i never thought that we would fall apart,
but if you wanna walk away . . .
i know i can't beg you to stay,
'cause you gotta do what's right within your heart.
when you took your love away,
the angels said they'd never seen a sadder day . . .
they said they turned the lights off in heaven . . .
and they cried in the dark.
i loved you from the moment when we met,
i loved you from the first time that i held you in my arms . . .
and babe, i haven't stopped loving you yet.
i loved you all the times we spent together,
i loved you all the times we spent apart,
the only thing that saw me through . . .
was knowing that you loved me too . . .
but then one day you went and broke my heart.
when you said your love had gone,
it blew me to pieces like an atom bomb . . .
i spent all my days just crying,
asking what did i do wrong ? . .
i always thought our love would last forever,
i never thought that we would fall apart,
but if you wanna walk away . . .
i know i can't beg you to stay,
'cause you gotta do what's right within your heart.
when you took your love away,
the angels said they'd never seen a sadder day . . .
they said they turned the lights off in heaven . . .
and they cried in the dark.

I love the arrangement subtleties throughout and your quiet, sincere singing. It would have been too easy to make this too mawkish - thankfully, I think you've avoided that and kept the mood somewhere between stoic and plaintive.
