Lucky pub patrons
I imagine the pub was not empty at 1 AM. Very tight live performance. This is the real deal.

In the words of a great philosopher
That guitar is speaking in tongues... ...and I'm hearing it!
Awesome. Let's see if I can think of any constructive
criticism. Hmmm... inventive song writing, extremely
creative structure, fantastic song, top-notch playing.
Drums, git, bass all fantastic. I hear a touch of Dixie Dregs
in this. Nice chops, dude! This song supports Troy's
assertion that you should be able to put songs in multiple
genres. There's an argument for Art Rock here because of
the degree of creativity. McBoy, I've never done this
before, but here it is, and I'm not lying: 10:9:10:10. 9 on
production because it being a live recording, is not quite
as clean as digital studio recording. I don't need to tell
you that's a minor quibble. Downloaded and Favorited.
This is songwriting and performance at the top of it's
game. Fantastic, not one note too long. You dudes
freakin' SMOKE!

Jammin!!!
The best word to describe this track is:

WOW!!!

This kind of free-form jam playing is so liberating to
listen to, it's stimulating in every way. Especially when it's
done THIS well. Fleet, imaginative and smokin' gits!
Excellent drums. Great material, well produced and
performed.

Not only does your expertise glow on this track, your
obvious enjoyment of playing shines through. VERY
inspiring!

This is one of your best. I enjoyed it from beginning to
end.

Hot Hot HOT!!
Steely Dan on steroids. Blisteringly good. The bar just
keeps on going up here.

You guys seem to have the ESP thing going on, it grooves
and you move together.

Production is GREAT too!

Completely cool.

McDude
Hey, great Jam. How did you mic this? You said that it was live, right? The production is fantastic (and, of course, the performance is great too). Your fingers roll around the guitar like happy, little gnomes frolicking in a forest grotto. This has a funky twist that I can really dig... it's not just straight, flat blues.

Good one. (well, I guess they're usually good ones).

Sweetly,

F.

Loved it...made me feel really good
It diffinitely took me by surprise...the performance is fluid, relaxed, and natural. There's some exceptional technique from all the performers, but what I like most is the seemingly effortless soul behind it all. Very very fun and inspiring. Makes me wish I'd kept my Byrdland.

Kind regards, Jeremy

playing from the heart!
sounds like one of those great nights when you can stop thinking about what you're playing, and play straight from your heart. when you can play what you hear in your head, and the first take is always the best! doesn't get any better! thanks for sharing it.

Freaking amazing
Your riffs are feaking amazing man. I am so jealous. I am from St. Paul MN and there is a group that play funk on Monday nights called The Combo that put some pretty funky stuff out there. I am blessed to be able to go listen to them a couple of times a year. But you guys also kick ass man. I mean you really kick ass. Bravo!!!! I want to hear more.

Return Visit
I had to return to give you one more comment, hope
that's acceptable. I download this and am using it as
a learning/practice piece. This just hits me the right
way, I love everyone's tone and feel on this. It gives
me inspiration, this is how I wish I could play, even
though my material does lead you to believe that.

Tight!
7-8-8-8

It must have been a grand time that night. I very much
liked the way the three of you were hanging together and
staying tight with the changes.

I dropped one on content as I'd like to hear the rest of it
and I'm guessing there must have been some vocals.

Man, that was tighter than Dick's hatband!!! Shades of
Return to Forever, and a little J. Beck as well as some jazz
greats...truly original chops, 10-09-10-10 I would've paid
to see playin' like that.

Is this really. . . ?
Is this really a live jam? I ask only because it's so tight it's hard to believe. There are plenty of musicians who couldn't play this tight with multiple takes in a studio. Great stuff!!
dewayne said 4657 days ago (August 23rd, 2004)
It ended too soon...

...give us the full 15 minutes :)

Nice guitar. A bit of Jeff Beck mixed with a bit of Tommy Bolin (when he
played with Billy Cobham). Love the way you "bend down" to the notes. I
thought Allan Holdsworth was the only one who could effectively pull that off.

Looking at the numbers
attracted me to this song. I'm glad the number of hits and ratings are included in macjams 'cause then you find out what you've been missing all along. Wow...very nice on this jam, gives me a haunting touch and feel of Jeff during a traffic jam. Quite the master crafter, and compliments on the bassist and drummer too. Guess the hang over hadn't set in yet that morning.

Regards,
John
