Lyrics
foi melhor que dizer a verdade,
desta vez voce vai creer
e pensar que o tempo foi pouco
sem orar, sem falar e sem ver
sem orar

foi derepente, deu tudo certo

defato moral da verdade
aproximacao do pasado

a perogativa moral da viagem,
a perogativa moral da verdade,
e do pasado, do pasado

translation:

it was better than to tell the truth,
this time your going to believe
and you'll think that time is running out without praying, without
speaking and without seeing
without praying

it was sudden, but it all worked out

In fact the morality of truth
aproximate to our past

the perogative of this journey
the perogative of the truth
it belongs to the past

isto é maravilhoso
jon, this is a great track. i love the chord progressions, the changes, the beats and your voice sounds great. i think this is your best yet. it has that old sound but it doesn't necessarily feel 80s. you really give it a new twist and your voice, i know i already said it, you should've done a lot more singing in claroscuro. beautiful lyrics.

thanks
thanks for the compliment. I am still working on the mix but I'm pretty happy with the structure at this time. I may take you up on that keyboard someday if you still have it--recording without a keyboard is very tedious.

Morality of truth
Some of the best electro-pop employs upbeat, almost disco era joy, transcending the mainstream feel with something that is thrillingly and unabashedly happy. This track reminded me of Jon Anderson's solo pop stuff, light music that inspired. You use some unexpected chord progressions that help achieve this. The synths are maybe too distant, in my ears, with the effect of trying to make the piece too massive, when it could have used less reverb and been more intimate, truthful. I dig the translation (altho I think something important has been altered). "The perogative of the truth, it belongs to the past" is a very thought provoking line.

thanks
Thanks for the comment. I have been really struggling with the mix when it comes to the synths. I may end up getting rid of a few layers so I can bring them to the forefront without washing out the bass and vocals too much.

TURN IT UP
My immediate sense is bring up The Kit and the Vocals and leave the synths where they are (except highlights, like during the transition).

What a Cool language Portuguese is. Very Musical.

Great start. Almost There.

Cooper
