taillights eyes (by the hamlet machines)

Description
shamelessly cashing in on the MJ success of "Blue Genes" here is "Tailights eyes". It's a short one, but it had to be a bit like a snapshot.

Lyrics
Picture I made
in a party
You turn your head
To look at me

From the flashlight
your eyes are red
they’re like taillights
passing me by
swiftly
flashing
goodbye
to me

like in "blue genes"
Brentford's guitar has a "crying" tone that called for a melancholy ditty.

Great guitar work
Bet you like the Pixies. Good bass work(was it real?)
Short, hell, just double it and you've got a complete song.

We do
like the Pixies, indeed. Neither bass or guitar are "real", but it's a good thing you have to ask the question to make sure. Thanks a lot for stopping by.

I like it.
I like picture postcard type songs. And for this content it's appropriate. I think it's very clever. The sound is pretty.

I don't know if this is an American thing, but flashlight does not mean camera flash to me, but, you know, the handheld battery lights you use during blackout and while camping. I think "from the flash" would work well as a line, in my opinion.

thanks
for listening and for the translation tip. I think I needed the word light to echo "taillights" but of course the ambiguity or mistake is a bit troublesome. Is the blank space between flash and light crucial ?

I mean
would putting a blank space between flash and light settle the matter or alleviate the ambiguity ?
