Description

I was giving my four year old adopted son a bath the other day and he started screaming "I don't want you daddy". (Kids always say mean crap like that) Well, I had my guitar and I started singing "you're stuck with me" He satarted calling me some more names so I put that in the song too. This isn't the typical style I do but it's the best I could do under circumsatances.

	Hyphenated Pholk I did a folky version.. sounded like the indigo girls, I did a pop classical version(all horns and strings)... too sappy....This version was the most fun to do so Thats why I posted it. Thanks for the words , Latter Check out my latest song called salience #2

What a great song ?? VOCAL !!!
You did a very great job, i checked this song while i searched on the style, needed to hear a new song !!!
Very nice music, cool vocal but i wish that it could be natural with a little echo in the background.
Overall, loved this piece, very nice performance.

Thanks for stopping by for a listen I apprecciate it. I will definitely take your suggestion into consideration. For some reason I am using the "rockabilly/track echo " effect latley. I don't know if I like the sound or perhaps I am trying to disguise the sound of my real voice. I will think about that. Thanks for the kind words. Regards

Oh yea
I'll play it for him when he gets older, only I fear it won't be his cup of tea. He likes the hard stuff. He heared Black Saboth once, now he runs around the house wind milling air guitar and belching " I am ironman." He is adopted afterall. I used to be ambivalent about the nature vs. nurture debate, but after adopting my two kids Im starting to fall strongly to the nature camp. Thanks for the listen and comment. Regards

	love it I love the "I'm killing you with kindness" approach. It's a cool song. Not bittersweet, but not too sweet either. It's just real and I think that's the draw for me. Great job on the melody and the delivery of said melody. There's a smugness in how you deliver it that's so perfect. Like how is he supposed to come back to that?! perfect! Glad I listened to this one.
I was listening to five_extra_arms cover on it and wanted to here the original before I could make a decent comment on his version. Now I know the rest of the story about the song, and it's helps me understand it better.

Did I mention this is a very cool song you put together for your son. Up till he's 11 or 12 he'll think this is cool. From then until he turns about 30 he'll hate it and think it's just a stupid kids song. But from that point on, he'll beam with pride and love every time he hears it.

Great song, easy on the ears backtracks and a smooth vocal Matt. Like the clean mix and production a lot.

Thanks for doing it and sharing it, I can relate from years ago when my sons were little.
