work in progress
Hopefully you'll hear a brief and turbulent summer thunderstorm. Others have told me it's more like music from a bad chase scene. Oh well.

hey you
Thanks for the comment. I have an animation in mind for this song. If I ever actually do it you might be able to see the storm that I hear.

I want to...
hear the rest of this piece as it ended too soon for me, but I got the cumulus clouds building high in the first part in the rhythm. Then I hear the low rumbling interspersed with heavy raindrops. Then.... well I look forward to the next episode. great playing, M

turbulent notes
This is unusual and fun to listen to... it feels very regular in some ways (with the constant momentum given by the left hand) and on-and-off syncopated on the right hand (some melody lines on the downbeat, some on the upbeat). Altogether this gives it a quirky jumpy feel. However, to get more of a thunderstorm feel, I probably would push the pitch range further, go up another octave for high tinkly rain-notes, and down an octave on the left (sometimes) for some deep thunder sounds. Possibly an occasional lightning hit with a right-hand chord or gliss? I dunno, that's probably too cliche. But I must admit that this evoked a more abstract scene, possibly a Picasso painting of Baba Yaga's hut on chicken legs? :-) I don't normally like strange angular modern pieces, but this was rather fun.

It is
a wonder that with all these plays, more haven't favored you with their stamp of approval or a comment. I'd like to encourage you, at this late date, to keep on making these evocative pieces. Thanks.
