Description
Danny Pentin (my neighbor) of Mob Law fame (www.themoblaw.com) came down to sing this song. I did the bass and drums one night and was completely frustrated, thinking it was crap, but I listened to it a week later and liked it a lot. Chris layed down some trippy sounds and I mixed it with some new tricks from the Garageband upgrade I just got. Very cool stuff.

Rich Huston (bass, drums, mix)
Chris Winters (Guitar)
Danny Pentin (Vocals/Lyrics)

Brace Yourself
Lyrics: Danny Pentin
Music: Rich Huston, Chris Winters

Spend some time in the corner, to think about it, on my own.
Rarely come to a conclusion, on how to route it, reap what's sown.
There's gotta be a way to fight it, just do without it, can't call home.
Heaven help me if I blow it and get excited, walk home alone.

Never-mind, what your parents said.
Old habits die hard, but soon they'll be dead
Never-mind, when shit holds you down
Though they press and hold
When you come around
So Never-mind

Brace yourself for what is coming, because you never know.
Life is shorter when you expect to live forever, you can't lay low.
Always looking for a shorter way to define it, caught alone.
Till you discover that the scenery is more about it, than what is shown.

Brace yourself,
For what is coming,
Life is shorter,
When you expect to live,
Forever.

Glad
you came back to this one. The drums and bass sound really good. Interesting, rhythm. Really like those 'trippy sounds' too.

Wish I had neighbours like yours!

Thanks for sharing
Peter

8 on production?
An 8 on production Steve! I thought this was the best song I've ever done for production. It sounds great anywhere I play it? Just curious,

anyway, have you worked on that song? I was wondering what ever happened with it.

Really liked this one
Not so conventional, which I like. Cool rhythm track.
Have to say you write some very good lyrics, which sometimes people overlook.
Great job guys!
