Description
This is number 4 of the Falling Stars Ambient mixes. This has newish rhythm and percussion sections, a few bars of other themes in the Falling Stars sequence and a couple of new bits.

All in all its new, mixed stuff, new, in an A-B-A section mix.

I tried to make it as 'airy' as possible so it might be a tad too 'verby. We shall see.

Verb
The second section near the beginning sounds almost like feedback, one of the lower notes is held too long or something. But rest of the song sounds very good with the reverb you chose. This is also a more varied sound than some of your other ambient mixes, and I like that better.

Hey Bill......
I'll check out the feedback. I only noticed an 'alien-type' sound every so often, but that was intentional and will be removed/replaced should I start to sell any of these Ambient mixes.

I'm glad that you liked this mix together with the choice of instruments.

Take care.

Paul.

Hey, if you figure out how to sell music let me know, I sure don't have a clue how its done. I guess I better keep my day job in the meantime. LOL

Contrast and movement
I love the wash of the synths against the punch of the bass, and then the attack of the piano against the long tail of its sound from the reverb. Also how the sense of space changes with the sudden drop of the wash - reminds me of going down a corridor that connects a series of glossy black rooms each containing small dancing lights. Nicely done with good interest throughout as the theme develops. I wonder if the 'feedback' is from the signal clipping? In any event, it works for me.

Thanks Doug....
Thanks Doug for popping in to listen and leave such an interesting comment.

I am learning the art of sound engineering at the moment and so don't know what to do to 'fix' this track. I'll listen again, with your suggestion in mind and see if I can make anything work better.

I think your description of what the music evokes is wonderful.

Take care.

Paul.
