Christmas is hard, ya know?

This is a rough cut. I'm gong to record a better version.

It's sad

Beautiful
Such a beautiful, loving and tender song. So much emotion. Very bittersweet. The vocals are wonderful. I think you have an incredible version here. I don't know how it could get any better.

She obviously passed so much on to you, she still is among us. Thanks for sharing a piece of her with us.

Stacey ....
... I've been missing your tunes .... your voice is still so pure and easy to my ears ...... I know that loss is a part of life ..... (I lost my younger sister 3 years ago to Cancer this April ..... and dont' know when I will stop singing about her .... or doing other weirdo things to remember her .. or honour her) ... death has a funny way of making us do all those things we regret NOT doing while they were alive ... suks sorta ...... hopefully they see and know this on the other side ! Beautiful heartfelt tune ... made me cry ! I have a love / hate relationship with crying myself ..... YOU got the goods GIRL .. you should be recording and selling this stuff !

Stacey,
You're one of the best songwriters on MacJams... You're an outstanding lyricist, and your melodies are sweet and clear...

And then you sing 'em, and they go that next step... You're gifted with an exceptional voice, but apart from the 'gift', you also have a sense of dynamics and emotional inflection that always feels right, unpretentious, true...

Today was 'recollection day' in my church, and so this song seems almost to have sprung from the spirit of the day...

Enjoy the personal sounds here
In is so intimate when someone sings nice like you do. Nice tone on the guitar. Nice diction in the singing the words. Very descriptive like in "As a matter of fact I feel it right now". Love the retro feel in the words, but you do a nice job strumming. Like how you make some words poetic. This would also be nice for a cool lead when your not singing. But really the main thing is the hearing your nice vocal.

So great to hear the female gender here at MJ. Not nearly enough of you all . But it sure is great foundation to have singers yourself.

Thanks for sharing this intimately done piece of wonderful music.

Thanks for sharing!

Christmas in March
Stacey,
Thanks for this wonderful gift. What a beautiful song. I'm writing this as I wait impatiently for you to send me tracks for a collab we are working on. Boy, did I choose the right girl. Smooth as velvet as always. The acoustic guitar tone is stellar. Your recording chops are really getting good!
