everytime you post a new song I marvel at the way you re-invent yourself. By that I mean, your compositions vary in style, tone, genre etc..Its all fantastic by my book, but I envy your ability to take on these remarkably varied personas. The treat... ...is your guitar playing on top of this Saturday night confection... ...but, listening over headphones, there is a great groove and a great, full and spacious sound in the bass and drums, particularly the bass. It's almost a 'spacious bass'... Everything sits on top that.... I think your drums are less busy than they used to be, with more pauses and more space, while retaining that funk fusion feel. Let there be Funk Way to go Tadashi. This just cooks man with all the interplay between the drums, bass and that funky guitar. All it needs now are some really great lyrics, maybe a few equally great horn parts and it's a done deal man. A bona-fide A number 1 hit song on you hands.
