Description
A song about my parents love and my Dad's perspective as he began to get older. We used to go out to dinner every week when he started getting older and after a few drinks he began getting sentimental and started giving me advise. This is my interpretation of some of those discussions. The chorus has shadow backing vocals to provide continued insight.

Lyrics
Love Song
Words and Music By Sean C. O’Malley @ 2006
We’ve been on our own since ‘45 and we walked right through a war.
Been with many people, who we never really cared for.
The lines on our face, no disgrace, they sure could tell the tale
Of a man and a women who’ve walked for miles and whose lives are now for sale
Many lives we’ve lived to see, many have said goodbye
I believe that when we’re living here it’s a chore to survive
We’ve walked a million miles, we’re entitled to survive
So listen to my tale, I’ve got nothing left to hide
Chorus
The faded signs that led us here
(Body, soul one in the same, skin is wet from the pouring rain)
Laughter and joy are now sincere
(Laughter in the summer time, what I did was always right)
It seemed to come on like a rush
(I found out what I was looking for, always seemed I wanted more)
I simply needed someone to give a push
(It really not to hard to see, I am her and she is me)
The same can be said for you
Can’t criticize my bleeding heart, when love is coming down
The constant ring inside my head, I can’t wait to hear her sound
Long I ride into the night, the headlights lead my way
Even with this heavy head, through the thick black night I pray
This bleeding heart can mend itself, it always has and will
Take one look around this house, time is standing still
We’ve walked a million miles, we’re entitled to survive
So listen to my tale, I’ve got nothing left to hide
(CHORUS)
