Description
This is a loose blues jam using GB '08. Used the "Magic" band feature, which is basically an editable sound track to jam against. Used my Deluxe Strat, no amp, line in. Hope you like.

I'm No Expert
On Chicago style but this sounds pretty authentic to me. That's some real sweet playing from you too and great sound for a direct in recording. You always seem to remain true to the blues.

Hey IB,
Thanks. I played around tweaking the settings in GB '08 until I got what I was looking for. The main effects that seemed to get me to my tone were the AUmatrix reverb, treble reduction, compressor and the visual EQ also I used a soft tremolo simulation to get a rotating Lesile effect, gives it that "wet" sound. I try to simulate the tone I get from my Fender Blues Deluxe amp and I think I came pretty close. The best part about it is I can play well into the night and not wake my wife and son. Thanks again.

Wow
I've never tried that Magic feature... it kinda scared me! But you make it wail!

God your guitar work is amazing! I'd really love to be able to play lead like that! Wow!

Thanks M,
Mark, yes I was a little skeptical about the "magic band thing" but you can tweak it all you want, and it saves you some time. I just wish it came with more arrangements. Thanks again

Sounds like Paul Butterfield's Band
That was one hell of a band, and you've got the Elvin Bishop greasiness goin' here... sounds great! I've never tried that Magic GB thing either; now you've gotten me intrigued!

Thanks ,
Jim, dont be afraid to experiment with the"Magic" feature even though it sounds a bit hokey. It great to jam against, if only it came with more arrangements.

Thanks,

hey
nice bed and great guitar bluesin.
I defiantly was into some bluesmen back in the day, Johnnny and Edgar come to mind. Call this bluestew with a rock essance.
The second guitar solo where u dig in with the pic kinda grabing each note just gets SO going man. That is sweet.
Great production. Great tune. Great playing.

not necessarily in that order

The New New Checkerboard Stratcat!
So is it the New or the New-New Checkerboard Lounge these days, or have they torn it down for UIC (or IUD) gentrification? I used to go there throught the 80s, people knew how to treat an outsider there, despite my lack of a tan. Beat the hell out of the kid-tourist places like Kingston Mines and B.L.U.E.S. What I mean is that this sounds real, brings it all back.

(you might have read this already but just in case)
