Description
Jimi sat backstage and watched Sly and wished for some funk.....he appears on stage and quickly plugs in to join sly for an impromptu jam....

(this is several chunks of a jam by my band from a rehearsal several weeks ago, with crowd noise and ADAM CLARKE in the roll of sly stone, singing a spontaneous anthem of the day)

Can we take it to the [rainbow] bridge?
Bryan's channeling some James Brown band as much as anything Larry Graham ever churned out...

I think you really have to do a whole tie-dye CD sometime, acknowledging your hippie roots. And get some cowbell in there while you're at it...

Oh if it could only have been.
what a combination that would have been. But since it didn't happen then, it has now.

Thanks all of you for an amazing track.

Excellent
freakout! What a wonderful pairing that would have been. Very cool. Fantastic playing here. That's a great band you've got there! Nice vocal touches by Adam there too. Wild is the word. Nicely done, folks. Peace.

hi quick
not only did i tie a headband around my skyblue satin pantleg, I actually played the entire track with my teeth!...the trick was finding someplace to buy the brown acid.....

I did listen to a few tracks from the original woodstock album to try and get the production values right....but mostly this was all for fun. Adam is the man, so fun and positive all the time. A great friend to me actually, and I am very happy about that, we iChat during Bosox games...like a coupla little kids.

thanks for the kind words, quick!

This brings me back
to the winterland in San Francsico when I really did see Hendrix. I remember talking to a lady at our church that had a boutique in the Haight at the time and really did sell cloths to Jimi. I am getting flashbacks, gad I can see Z chewing up the strings, be careful z you'll have to go to the dentist if you over do it. :)

Ha, like Star Bangled Banner then the boogie thang. Way to Go!

You guys really know how to put on a rockin show!

Hey Ziti
Great stuff here. Great licks and funky soul.

I play the guitar, but I'm not a guitarist. Regarding my statement on the underrated guitarist forum.

I hope it makes sense now. I could never play like this for example.

Cool.

Very Cool!
Excellent licks. Like the virtual reality feel to this. Great idea. Was thinking the same thing for the Woodstock, CBGBs events. Love the funk thing, and the rip-roarin leads. Very flashy....ala Hendrix. I liked when you squirted the lighter fluid on you PRS and ignited it. (only in virtual reality)
