Description
McBoy graciously sent me this fabulous tune to "have my way with". After I recorded the vocals the tune was sent to IGStudio to add his SMOKY SAX sounds to the mix .. and WOW what a Sax it was too ... hope you enjoy the Alannah/McBoy/IGStudio Jazz Fusion sound !

Lyrics
Could you tell me what you mean
I need a little insight
Could you be more clear
I’m feeling a little insecure
Could you be sincere
Do you have what it takes
To make yourself clear
Because you lost me
When you weren’t sincere
When you weren’t clear
Oh could you be a little clear
Could you be sincere
Look me in the eye

i am listenint the intro and cant wait for more.
Ahhhhh Alannah enters.
Real cool stuff to sing over my friend. And you put your stamp on it for sure. This is great.
I love the repeating descending piano lick...
what a great bed.
Funny, I just posted a collab with iG.STudio also.
Ilya is great.
And Mcboy is (for me) showing up all over the place and what a great player.

Thanks Tim ....
... always nice to hear when someone is wanting more ... McBoy and Ilya deserve all the credit on this one for truly setting up one fine cozy bed to sprawl out on .... !

Combo
All three of you make great contributions to this. The sax, especially at the opening sets the emotional tone. The "tune" is just the thing a classy jazz combo would play for strong jazz vocalist... like you! Your singing is right in synch with the rest making this a wonderful song.

Thanks
Bill

drakonis said 589 days ago (April 16th, 2008)
slinky...
love all the instruments insinuating themselves in and out of this mix... great guitar & piano work, and stupendous sax... I think Alannah would agree that you can never have too much sax... and Alannah's voice and lyrics here are perfectly pouty and moody. Wonderful collaboration, all 3 of you!
ttfn,
Drakonis

"tis true Drak ....
... one never can have too much sax .... (a little trombone now and again too) ... I'm trying to imagine myself "pouty" ... maybe once upon a time ... now I just look like i had a stroke or something if I try to pout !

Davis ....
... I never marry anyone on the first date ! And .. if memory serves me right ... cartoons aren't allowed to get married unless they were married to begin with (like the Flintstones) ... or unless you are Cindarella .... of which I am neither ... sigh - but the good news is that cartoon women never age either!

apb said 589 days ago (April 16th, 2008)
Got a..

.. nice little 007 progression going on with the electric.. and that lush sax, and vocal (and beats) just adds to that feel.. is that Amy Winehouse in the pic btw? .. the one on the left ..lol ..

Great vibe and pace.. great collab .. was expecting it to build even more and could easily have gone on longer.

Downloaded.

I agree ....
... that I too could have quite enjoyed it if it were longer ... I didn't really realize it until I went back and typed out the lyrics and realized that this definitely could have had some expanded lyrics added to it .... thanks for listening and commenting.

I have many things to be said on this piece, which is so nice, but I can say them only in French and I do not know if you will understand me, so I want just to say you have a magnificent voice, and what a nice collab with McBoy... and this saxophone... Very well done, bravo

French oui ....
.. I sang a song in French once ... and well let's just say that I read off a cheat sheet .... and Moorland graciously recorded his voice speaking the lyrics for me to help me to pronounce the words right .. and I believe I still got it wrong .... the only French I speak is what I remember reading on the back of Canadian Cereal boxes .... but your English seems fine to me! Thanks for the compliment and listen.

Another in the works ???
... oh my !!! I wish !!! Let's just see what kind of idle time these busy boys have on their hands in the future .. and if they have a desire to create stuff for me to sing all over ! I would have NO problem with that!

Beautiful.

Well done very nice Good job you guys. Nice singing as usual
So thats why you hit the Beer on a Friday night. Your feeling a little

Alannah said 586 days ago (April 20th, 2008)
Insecure ??? naaaaah ...
.. I hit the beer on Friday nights cause there is nothing I enjoy more after a hard stressful week than to sit back ... sip a nice chilly beer ... kick back and listen to some tunes .. get inspured and then (attempt) to sing one of my own .... thanks for the listen Dee .... I will return the favour (my sound seems to be gone from my computer right now .. I unplugged too many things while painting ... and I have no idea what is unplugged or where to plug it in right now) ....

I like this!
I'm not a big jazz person. I lack the sophistication. But this makes me want to fake it. I'm goin' out and buying the darkest sunglasses I can find to shield me from the glare of nightlights. Gotta fav this one. Terry

Coooooooool
Very smooth Allanah. I have jumped around your page listening to all sorts and faving a few, downloading one or two. I am now a fan so I can keep up with your posts. I think your strongest genre is Jazz and, I'm sure most would agree. What I like most though, is your no fear attitude when it comes to creating. I would guess you are one to scoff at rules lol. I think that makes your creative process that much more powerful. I really enjoyed my visit and will be back soon.

Rules !!!!! ???
.. there are "RULES" ??? I have NO idea about any rules ... and you are right ... I just get this idea in my head and go for it .... straight up .... I don't even take much time to fix all the mistakes I make ... heh heh .... but this is what makes it all FUN as opposed to work .. in which case I likely wouldn't enjoy it as much if I sweated over all those little details and mistakes .... thanks for the feedback
