Thanks... ... I do know what you mean. I've checked into that room a few times. The first time I listened to this after the strings sample was added I wasn't sure about it either, but it's grown on me and then some. If I go back and listen to an earlier rendition of it that doesn't have that sample it throws me right off. Aside from the strings though, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for taking the time to comment. -EM Check out my latest song called Western Film Theme

Trippy Flashback-fodder. l like the scratches and the tempo - I like the strings - more variation in the scratches would be good. My vinyl wasn't that consistent. Check out my latest song called Lama du jour

I made the portishead connection at first too but then I fell into this Wim Wenders movie about a tango dancer and a dwarf alone in the dance studio at nightwith the flickering light of the elevated train strobing off the mirrored walls. Their motion transformed into a series of still images - multiplied and divided. Check out my latest song called try not to think

Great stuff....... This is a smashing piece of Trip hop, just as Trip hop was prescribed, in my ward anyway. All the disparate bits fit together so well it seems they were made to fit together so well it seems they were just made to fit together so well etc infinite, vinyl-scratchy loop effect goes on and on. It's really quite a brilliantly produced track. Take care. Paul Check out my latest song called Ambient Soundscape #1

wow so nice. i like the string sample personally (it's not overdone at all), and those crunchy drums are perfect. i'm on my second listen and it is absolutely perfect. love the way the song settles after the guitar solo and how the drums change. this is way too creative. Check out my latest song called Behind Enemy Lines (w/Bud and Particle Dots)

Textured Melodies This is unique stuff. A very original tempo/melody combination. The production is inspired as well. Check out my latest song called First of Fall - Slide

Good soundtrack for Portishead's private room in Hell.... if you know what I mean.
All the crunchy stuff is really great, and the lead is perfect in every way; am unsure about that 'descending strings' sample, though.
