Description
I think the title pretty much sums up the punk attitude.
Really inspired more by the song playing on the punk's jam box in the bus scene of Star Trek IV:The Voyage Home than anything.

I was too tired last night when I posted this to really flesh out the song description. I was up too late with Johnny and Eddie Penguin, the two founding members of The Killer Vampire Penguins, getting this classic jewel ready.
As anyone who knows anything about the early days of Punk in the U.S. knows, The Killer Vampire Penguins had possibly the shortest run in the history of rock 'n' roll. They got together on April 6, 1977 when Johnny Penguin's girlfriend, who was a bartender at CBGB's told him they needed an opening band for this group from England called The Damned that was playing there two nights later. Johnny called up Eddie, the bass player and they recruited guitarist Vince Vandal and drummer Dead Guy for the gig. They practiced for 36 hours straight, managing to work up a five song set, two of which they recorded.
As everyone knows and history has recorded, The Vampire Penguins showed up for their gig hopped up on whatever they could find to keep them awake. They managed to get through half of a song when Dead Guy, well, keeled over dead after his heart exploded. After his corpse was dragged from the stage and propped up in the CBGB bathroom, they started the second tune, but Vince Vandal decided to quit the band right in the middle of his solo.
Johnny, blaming Eddie for bringing the other two into the band, smashed him over the head with the mic stand and the two got into a fight right on stage. No one in the crowd or in CBGB's management bothered to interfere and the fight went on until The Damned took the stage 20 minutes later for their first American show.
Critics described The Killer Vampire Penguins performance as
promising."
So, here you go, one of the two surviving recordings of The Killer Vampire Penguins.

I’m Not Going To Do What You Say
©2008 Joseph Gurner
I’m not going to do what you say x4
You think you’ve got me under your thumb
You act like I’m so fucking dumb
You try to brainwash me
Through my TV
But you’ve got something coming your way
I’m not going to do what you say
I’m not going to do what you say
You think I’m going to do everything your way
I’m not going to do what you say
I can tell you don’t really understand me
When you tried to shove me down on my knees
But you can go to hell
cause I’m here to tell
I’m not going to do what you say------
I’m not going to do what you say
I’m not going to do what you say
You think I’m going to do everything your way
I’m not going to do what you say
