The Saviors Dead (Final)

Get Flash to see this player.

Description
The Revolt of Angels who's Objective was to claim the seat at the throne of the Creator. This faction of once loyal soldiers, about one third of the angels in heaven, stormed the gates of eternity overturning the once unperturbed landscape and setting fourth the events that would undoubtedly contribute the fall of man.

The Coup was lead by the Seraph 'Morning Star' who practically was God's right hand man and was one of the highest known rank angel within the order. Despite popular cultures depiction of Satan, the Morning Star was actually a noble and handsome Celestial Being, Who's pride consumed him and his thirst for power would eventually lead to his Fall on the battlefield of judgement by God's most loyal Angels lead by archangel Saint Michael.

Lyrics
there's no weight left in these words; a broken promise hell hath flood with joy
the saviors dead, the morning star raise the dead from all the wars.

Their weary bones are weak with sin, their solemn fates are sealed within
You go to where from which you came, six feet under above the flame

your stary gaze upon the gates of fairytales , you were quite brave
to think he would've saved us all from ourselves but saved nothing at all

at all
at all
nothing at all

Come to me with open arms

Feel the Burn within your veins

I am everything you want to be

I am the nothing and the everything

I am you... I am... I am you. I am

well done
This is a great song. A lot of dark imagery in the lyrics and your vocal delivery is right on point and unique enough to give another element to the story. Is this part of a longer series?

The gates of fairytales
Love this song. I echo Lennon's question, is this part of a larger series? If not, please consider that possibility.

I dig the irony of your genre choice, too. I prefer endings, as opposed to abrupt cutoffs like you employed that make it sound like MIDI loops coming to an end, but this time it works with the concept of the song. I'm off to discover your other stuff...

confused....
I have to admit I'm personally challenged by the abstract and can be obtuse to satire, but I don't get it or even why you posted it in this genre. Your description of Satan's position and fall is scripturally accurate, but I don't think you've got it all right. First of all the battle is still raging, nor has final judgment been meted out. It's probable this all occurred before the creation of man so how could he intend to "save us" before he ever knew us? As to his invitation... that's certainly there, but I believe his main goal is simply to inflict as much pain upon God as he can, and since he can really do nothing to God directly, he goes after God's beloved... that's us.

Forgive me if I've been obtuse and I do want to be encouraging. The music certainly drew me in and I thought the abrupt ending appropriate. And if you were after thought provoking lyrics... my lengthy reply can attest to your success there.

sorry... I've got more
I'm still struggling to understand this. It seems a message from Satan declaring hell's joy at the saviour's death and His failure to save anything. But the same historical record of this angel's dramatic fall also describes the drama of the Saviour's invasion, His sacrifice, and then His dramatic victory at calvary. Do you mean to show Satan's insanity by espousing obvious lies? Please give me more to go on, and really now... don't you think you ought to change the genre?

Well
I meant to be Ironic. I personally am not a "Satanist" and am more agnostic than anything. I grew up very heavily in a catholic enviroment and still actually hold those beliefs near my heart despite my transition of question, and this wasn't meant to offend anyone just to stir up the pot as any good song should. I apologize if you took any offense

No offence taken...
Sorry I'm so obtuse to satire, but I work a lot with kids and if you'd posted this under a different genre, I might have reacted differently. I also grew up a Catholic and can probably relate to many of your thoughts and feelings. You clearly understand the beginning of the story, I just think you ought to look more into it the rest of the story. Check out David Wilcox's song "Show the Way" - he puts a perspective too often missed in orthodoxy.

Thanks for offering more.

A question
I have a question that has gone unanswered for some time now. This seems to be the right place to post it. My question is about God and Satan and their relationship. I must assume that Satan, while serving as/at the 'right hand' of God was very, very smart. He also experienced God first hand. He knew him. He loved him. He had first hand knowledge of God's perfectness, goodness.

Now, before I ask my question, I ask myself: Experience tells me that there are two sides to every story. What if Satan could talk? I imagine a story from the mighty angel Satan that might sound something like this:

"I knew God. I served God and I loved him. I would die for him, then and now. But even in his presence, even while living in heaven I yearned for more. It was not enough. It was not perfect for me. Like a child who want's so badly to leave home and experience more than what's in his own back yard, I too wanted more. I never wanted to betray my Creator. But as I talked to others about the possibility of exploring - and keep in mind I didn't even know if there was anything else, I just wanted to look for it - God became furious. He accused me of wanting more. Wanting to be like him. He thought I wanted to control the other angels and have them bow to me. Nonsense!

When he banished me, I pleaded with him and told him that I was not the only one. He gathered all the angels together. There we all were. Everyone knew something terrible was happening. Something that had never happened before. God asked told the angels that he was banishing me and asked if anyone wanted to follow me. To my surprise, I was not alone. Heaven and being under God's reign was so unfulfilling that one third of my brothers chose to leave the Creator and take a chance with me in the unknown. For us, we chose the unknown over God's protection and love. Mankind has never even experienced God. I have. I personally wanted more. So, my only advice to you is to be careful what you choose. Because your choice there on Earth is forever."

Just a thought.
So what's my question? There are two sides to every story. What do you think Satan would say his story is?
