Mysti - this is just GORGEOUS! It's one of your best I think (I know I know, I say that about everything you do). I'm on my 2nd listen, so many layers and elements. I love that scratchy thing at the beginning and the little electronic noises that hover above. You really meet the definition of "well rounded musician" - you've got chops in so many areas of music. Congrats on this mysti - it's movingly wonderful!

wow Mysti
what an imaginative, ethereal soundscape you've created here. beautiful and sparse. gorgeous piano. I agree with Karen, the scratchy stuff (lol) at the beginning is cool. Very, very nice. What a wonderful way to wake up.

The road I travel.
Hi Mystified.
I love this but I am not keen on the crackling noise.
I am not sure if its supposed to represent the feet walking down the golden leafy pathway. Pic above by the way looks gorgous.
I would take that bit out if I was composing this.
other than that this is billiant.
This one downloaded into my itunes music programme It fiinshed playing then guess what played. ? Your gorgous voice singing
I'll build a beautiful wall. LoL I hope you do not take offence to my comments. I am truly just being honest. Cheers.

bold inventiveness
And a universe of emotion in those keywords :-) I love the piano work and the way the different piano tracks waft in and out over each other.

I am ambivalent about the sparkly synthy blips and crackles... in some ways they were out of place and distracting. Near the beginning it almost sounded like electrical interference from some other device, bleeding into my headphones. But as it progressed, the electrical sparkles began to dance and interact with the piano music, as if they were lightly aware of each other, carried on each other's waves, and it began to make more sense to me.

You works always stretch my mind, which is a very good thing. Thank you for offering such delicious food for thought!

And, a gorgeously retouched photo... is that a black rabbit? Did he cross the road? :-)

ttfn,
Drakonis

Oh for
the right words for this.... moving, magical, ethereal, nostalgic, gentle, rich, beautiful and so meditative and relaxing, grand, and I just looked above in your 'keywords' to see you that have a few of your own LOL, love it, regards M

My Oh My.....
This is wonderful. I enjoyed everything about this and how you put it all together. I'm learning to expect the unexpected, so my mind allowed everything to be unfurled, gently, as it was heard and experienced.

All the words in your keywords fit so well, and this is how it should be.

It will be 'ipodded' sometime over this weekend, for me to savour and enjoy on my jaunts.

Take care.

Wonderful
meditative piano playing here! Interesting and creative mixing too. I am not that happy about vinyl cracking sounds in a song (OK at the very start and at the end, but else why not let beautiful be beautiful?) But that's me...

Can't help downloading and fav'ing, of course!

This is absolutely
lovely Cat, very relaxing and beautifully composed and played. I love all the production elements and think that they all fit together perfectly.
I can imagine this working as a cinema soundtrack to a beautifully filmed and directed arty film.
Cheers

Interesting piece
Nice use of space and proportion... suggestive and impressionistic... almost an unfolding quality. You have many styles and variations... I enjoyed this !

I started .....
... listening to this and wondered to myself ... how you are able to compose a pretty piece of music such as this and NOT be tempted to add your vocals to it ... all is not right with the world yet .... I think some fabulous `mystifications`certainly could add to this piece ... some smatterings here and there perhaps ... (Not enough to gild the lily) ... but a mystification nonetheless ....

I sure loved this,...
What a pure, full, divine sound you have on the piano of earthly beauty, and, with the synthesizers added comes to it the beauty and mystery of space.

the feelings you have created with the keys and extra sounds. I'm sure there is a definite story in here, and it's so touching to feel the emotions. Just wonderful, Cat.

Airy
A wide but inner space. Speaks of an untamed landscape and a bold pioneering spirit - feels as if fragments of folk ballads keep creeping in. Lovely finely paced work.

.
The scratches give the feeling of listening to an old vinyl record that's been played many times because it's a favourite, so it didn't disturb my thorough enjoyment of this lovely piece. Thank you for sharing this with us.
