Coffee House Blues
terrific song. Your background coffee house chatter is really well done. Your voice is perfect for these blues, guitar pulls it along in just the right way. Congrats!

This is great - so fun! Great guitar and your voice is great on this. Very fun lyrics. lol - I loved the background noise. As a coffeeshop manager, I can confirm all those sounds as real! Great job on this!

oh yeah
I forgot to post the lyrics! Here they are

last night i saw an emtpy coffee can beside my old coffee pot
and thought better head to the store see what kind of beans they got
cuz there's no coffee in the house
but then the tv came on and i forgot

rolled out a bed this morning with the sleep all in my eyes
dragged my feet to the coffee pot, man i got a bad surprise
there'was no coffee in the house
& rain was pouring down from the skies

i just stood there in the kitchen, thinking what the hell am i gonna do
ranacked the cupboard, even some decaf might get me through
but with no coffee in the house
nothing is what i'm equal to

i just don't see how I'm gonna haul my ass into work
bad hours, bad pay and the bossman is a jerk
and no coffee in the house
would give me grounds to go berserk

met my wife comin down the stairs, with the curlers on her head
she said where you going, shouldn't you be gettin in the car instead
i said there's no coffee in the house
so we both crawled back in bed

This is awesome!!
Relic my fellow countryman, you have outdone yourself. This is the quintessential coffeehouse song. Great job!! The only thing we Canadians might like as much as beer is coffee and we certainly relate to when there isn't any in the house lol maybe thats why those lineups at Tim Hortons are so bloody long lol

Excellent
Your playing and vocals are just great. I'm not sure I can go on stage after hearing some of the first acts. Love the lyrics. I wish I could pick like that. Great "Scottish Pub Sounds" too.

Well done.

love the artwork. background noises really capture a coffee shop atmosphere as well. just need the coffee grinder in the background. i think that's the most annoying part of playing at a coffee shop lol. sometimes i curse when people order a drink. nice track. i like your vocals. this really sounds as if it's at a coffee shop in real life.

thanks to everyone for your kind comments.
I was relieved because I had an uneasy feeling that it was total crap when I posted it!

I wish I had thought of putting in a coffee grinder sound....
that would have been hilarious lol

Mighty fine picking
good set of lyrics too. I liked the whistling - and your voice sounded just right for this one - kinda David Bromberg like.

Excellent!
Love the guitar on this - terrific, snappy and melodic playing. Lovely rhythm and great vibe. The lyrics are hilarious and I love the ending! Very cool background sounds, too - although in reality there'd be a lot more laughing going on as people cracked up at the lyrics of the song. Nicely done. Peace.

Great!
Don't know really how I missed this gem. Killer picking and fine vocals... does fit very much with the coffeehouse idea. I wish I had something like that!

How did I miss this?
This is wonderful, so natural and relaxed. I love the lyrics to this. heeheehee, what, not tea bags just in case? (I know, it's just not the same). You have a great style, and this truly sounds like a live performance.
